you guys have to go to auctions more! I got a sweet 1978 cherry red moped (uses leaded gas btw) and 2 push mowers for 12$. All three did not run at all, with A LOT of starting spray and some luck, all three worked. I now ride the moped to paintball!

32CC craftsman leaf blower (the lousy kind that looks like an electric). Doesn't run now, but it should with a new fuel pump diaphram.
I was actually thinking of putting the carb off the blower in my friends civic as it probably flows more than whats on there now

Stupid Criminals

I had a brush with some of the worst thieves the other day.. I have a 1972 opel gt that is being converted into a drag car. I pulled out the old motor (it ran, but the trans was SHOT) Stripped it of everything worth anything and sold all the parts on ebay. All that was left was the block with lower internals and oil pan. No head, no brackets, no nothing. Trans was still mated to the engine (why separate trash and trash?) It sat in the back yard for about a week, collecting rain and rusting those pretty lil cylinder walls. Then i finally felt like moving it to the ally for pick-up. Well, about 3 days later these two guys are looking at it when i come home from work one day. I start walking towards them and they jump in their hick0truck with loud pipes and haul a$$... I'm like WTH?? so i check around and make sure nothing is on fire or anything. I was just going to tell them they could have it if they wanted it... but whatever. About 3:00 that morning I hear hick pipes pull up in the back ally... idle for about 30 seconds, then haul a$$ away. I was taking out the trash the next morning and found that they had stolen my motor and trans... Morons.

I got a riding lawn mower a couple weeks ago that the guy across the street from where my sister lives. Apparently he was too lazy to get a gasket or use some blue RTV to seal the bowl on the carb so it leaked gas all over the carb and would catch fire.

A little Blue RTV, a lot of starter fluid, some afro-engineering and it'll pull a wheelie so high I thought it was going backwards. Guess it's time to weld up some wheelie bars.

i think its a 4 cylinder motor, just the block and lower end and tranny, its only gatta be what 350lbs at the most?


my uncle at one time(before his back problems(haha)) could pick up a 350 chevy block... just the block.

not drinking enough milk.

but he knows how to build a motor, i tell you what.

Man, this sounds so fun, I wish I lived in upscale neighborhood were I could steal cool stuff. The only dumpster I know of, is the resturant I work at, and trust me I'm not going in there, it smells, like well. You know.

yea dude, it's actually better if you don't live where you scavange. Otherwise it might look to your neighbors for them to see you using their old lawnmower to mow your lawn.
