60s or 70s anti anti war protest song

im looking for a anti anti(not a typo) war protest song written and published in the 60s or 70s meaning im looking for a song that puts down or clealy states what the singer and/or songwriter think of the protests against the vietnam war(in this case it will be against them). this is for a school project. ive found one song by johhny wright its called hello Viet Nam but im not sure it really meets the criteria. for a better understanding here is the actual assigment

you will select a song by an artist/group first released in the 1960s or 1970s and represnts one of the protest movements of that era. You will play the song, and then discuss the movement which spawned it using material from the songwriter or singer. you will provide A hard copy of your sources with cited materials highlighted.

    date assigned 4-5-04
    date due 4-20-04

now if anybody finds one AGAINST any other movements of the time pls let me know about iot also

i know the assignment wants a song represnting one of the movements but i personally do not and am willing to take any deductions neccesary to get the point across that i dont like protest very much

What about Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young's Ohio. About the 4 students shot during a protest at Kent State?

Tin soldiers and Nixon's coming we're finally on our own
this summer I hear the drumming four dead in Ohio
Gotta get down to it soldiers are gunning us down
should of been done long ago
what if you knew her and found her dead on the ground
how can you run when you know?

Vietnam Rag is by Country Joe McDonald
xXhAppyAznXx "If I whiped and shot full auto, I wouldn't feel very skilled. Hell in the back of my mind, I'd be crying over my lack of skill, and that I should quit and kill myself."

actually Country Joe and the Fish will give you better results. He has a lot of anti vietnam songs, try "Kiss my ***" if *** is filtered it is butt :P. Hope this helps. I have never been able to dl a copy of fixin to die rag aka vietnam rag, vietnam song, or anything of the like, that was from the actual album and not from woodstock. My dad sais the album version is way better.

He's not looking for a protest song, he's looking for a anti-protest song, such as Toby Keith's angry American, only from the 60's. The only one I can think of is Sweet Home Alabama, where Skynyrd makes fun of Neil Young.

Considering the Vietnam War has almost zero popular support from young people, I think you'll be looking for quite a long time.

As for the Fixin' To Die Rag, I have the album on CD, and if someone needs it bad enough, I could rip it to mp3 and share.

This is untrue. A more correct statement of the situation would be "the Vietnam War has almost zero publicity for young people who supported the war." Unfortunately the liberal movement took it upon themselves to make the war the rallying cry for their dispicable way of life. Fortunately, most of their kind has either grown up or died out.

I'm a far cry from liberal, but I do know the Vietnam war pretty damn well.

By the end of the war, there was very little support, especially among young people, and even less among those who would be making music.

Do you even know what you are talking about or do you just like it whenever we go to war?

That entire war was pointless. It was a class war, the peasants vs. the landowners. We sided with the rich and killed the poor. We took over for the French, who had been working with the rich and abusing the poor for years.

The whole "Communism" thing was just an excuse, and a way for the peasants to arm themselves. You think the NVA or VC gave a rats *** about Communism? They just wanted a shot at living without having to slave all day on someone elses land. That was the root cause of the war. We ended up creating more communists than we killed.

Not like I expect an intelligent arguement from someone who is quite possibly even worse than Collegeboy.
