As I was saying before, use Clone DVD. That is what I use after decrypting it with DVD Decrypter. Clone DVD gives you the options of chapter and title selections. You can go through and pick what languages and extra features you want. Selection is also very harmless and idiot proof, there are three main writing processes you can use; Copy DVD Titles, Clone DVD, or Write Existing Date, pick Clone DVD.

Title Configuration. Once you have selected that you would like to clone the DVD it first asks you for the source (wherever the DVD Decrypting program put the files) Once you have selected a location all the information shows below with little boxes already checked. Those are all of the files that were on the disk, just leave them checked and click next if you want to make an exact copy of the origional disk. If not you can go through and pick the particular chapters that you want on the disk. Click next.

Audio and Subtitles Settings. From there Clone DVD looks at the provided source information and gives you several more sets of boxes that you can go through and check/uncheck. They are the Stream Configuration and Stream Preferences controls. Stream Configuration allows you to select the different audio stream formats, and subtitles. Stream Preferences allows you to control subtitle languages, that is if you selected them in the configuration settings. Click next.

Output Metod. DVD Configuration. This screen lets you review all the setting that you picked; it is breaken down into each chapter. You can scroll through and take a look to make sure everything is ok, if not just use the back button and fix it (none of your settings will be lost). Output Method. Options for either DVD Files, ISO/UDF Image or DVD Writer. Choose DVD Writer; from there you can select your writing drive and disk location, as well as your volume label, and wether or not you would like Temp files to be deleted after writing process is over. Click GO! Now wait for it to finish and you have a good quality dvd copy.

        I agree..

why pay for software when there are free versions out there that you can download? Sure it's not all in one nice, neat and tidy program where you click one button. but OMG NO you have to actually maybe click TWO things!!!

Big deal, it's all about the fact that I didn't wnat to pay $100+ for a program (clone DVD, Xcopy, etc) when it's all out there for three. The FAQ I linked above works good, as well as plenty of them on doom9. But dvdshrink is pretty much the same as xcopy, only thing is you lose quality because it compresses the movie more to fit on to a single layer 4.7BG disc. The trade off? Lesser video/audio quality, but you get the whole thing (extras, subtitles, language, etc).

The FAQ above, rips the movie, and only the movie part, with one sound track (usually I choose the best if there's more then one, AC3, Dolby, etc) and allows you to split it to 2 discs without any video/audio quality loss. You get a true 1:1 rip of just the movie. But you know, who cares? I don't watch the extras, I never listen to the movies in another language, and I don't care for all that other fluff thats on there.

I've used DVDXcopy (plat and gold) and fine, they're easy, one green button to click. That's great if youre lazy and have the money to spend. I didnt' care to drop that much cash to do what I can get done using freeware programs.

Mind you the only purchased software I've used when I did that FAQ was nero, and it came with the burner. The rest are freeware programs that are available anywhere.

now that dvdshrink has been improved its the same as xcopy, but for free.

hmmm...is it possible to burn a dvd with no quality loss on 1 DVD by sacrificing all the extras (trailers/subs/etc)? if so, how? or does the FAQ tell you?
