Glad it's calming down some. Stay safe.

And thanks for the good-news stories. Your buddies at the clinic are the ones who may make the biggest difference over there.

I'll be getting pics from grad tomorrow (well, mom will, so the quality of said pictures is.....yeah.); Grandma Bonnie gave me $150 just for making it through HS, kinda neat.

I think another box of magazines is going to go out to you soon, they're starting to pile up.

Saw Jeff at Golden China yesterday...you get the package yet? Pretty ballsy to have him send it to you...yeesh

I have an appointment with Fow tomorrow as well, my therapy is going VERY well, my ROM is better now than it was at my last therapy appointment before the surgery! Hopefully, I'll be healed enough to be out of this #@!*& brace...

Also, do you want the new Tesla CD? It's pretty good.
        Such a sham(e).

Glad to hear yer safe man. Good joss.

I like the above: "Fairly safe too, only the occasional daily mortar or rocket attack...nothing major. Some small arms fire comes in, but they never hit anything anyway." Even though I'm from New York having to deal with daily mortar or rocket attacks would cause me to deplete my clean undies supply fairly rapidly.
Return to the free market. Get rid of all government regulations and let society make it's own decisions. Time and again the relaxing of government regulations has increased profits, innovation and the economy.

Think maybe the Bike was Hooday or Qoosays (whatever the heck their names were)? I think they all had a fondness for stuff like that and a means to get it too...but.... they won't be reclaiming it now I guess...

Glad to hear that things are getting better. Guess it must be hard for them to change their way of living/attitudes after that's all they've known for all their lives. But, most people should know that things can't stay the same forever, and change can be positive. Must be irking for you guys though.......if they only knew what we already know you're job would be that much easier!

Let us know if you need anything, I can send you a care package of goodies, let me know what you like (wouldn't want to send a bunch of stuff you hate LOL).

                        Stay safe ARMY!

Thanks for all that you and your company is doing to keep the poeple there free, and our troops safe. I may have to put together a package for you along with my son's going to Ghazni, Afghanistan. Do you have access to a DVD player, or computer that can play DVD's?

Looking forward to seeing you all home safe!

                            Army are you okay?

Your base was mentioned on KYW as being attacked by rockets either yesterday or today?

Yeah, I'm fine. Yes, we were hit good with about a dozen rockets, one of which struck right next to the PX. Sad thing is, most of the guys that were hurt and killed, were ignoring the warning siren and were sitting on the PX steps smoking and joking while waiting for the all clear.....IDIOTS! Normally, we aren't supposed to tell the world about any strike we receive, but seeing as how it was on all the news networks, I'm not breaking any Op-Sec SOP's.

I was, fortunately, about 1/2 mile away in the chow hall (it hit at 1210hrs), but a SSGT from my company was in the PX, and was hit by a lot of flying glass (SGT Kennedy can tell you, the PX front is about a dozen thick glass doors...they're all gone now) and rocket debris. He was only slightly cut up, and they had to surgically remove a quarter size bit of glass from his back, but he's OK and was back to work that night. He also was hit with a melted glob of spent rocket fuel right in the crotch...which naturally scared him a lot more than the blood streaming down his face A doctor was right there, and quickly assured him that his "tackle" was still "on the reel", then slapped pressure bandages on his cuts. All in all, a bad day here. I took some pics of the damage (holes in the outer walls, and boarded up windows), and will try to get them home to Sarah for posting ASAP.

That's the only real damgae they have done since I've been here, so the odds are still heavily in our favor

Best thing though, is the QRF swept up about 10 locals (and two not so local) immediatly afterwards. We "sniffered" them, and also did a spray test to confirm that four of them were hot with TNT and TET residue. I do believe we snagged the dang buggers right away Oh yeah, they knew they screwed up too They were just about peeing there pajamas when they were dragged in for the testing, and EVERYONE locked and loaded simultaneously.....MUAHAHAHAHahahahaaaaa! goood fun

                              Later all! Dave
