well, if the dang liberals would shutup...
    and the da** hippies.
    PETA too.

We could use microwave-energy satellites to "beam" energy from solar cells on the moon/in space.
    - Who cares about any "possible" effect

Hydrogen energy for cars and such.(go Bush!)

    Lots of other possibilites:

    Nuclear
    SCREW YOU ROTTEN PROTESTING FREAKS

    Solar

    Wind

    Oil King Flesh

    Terrorist Flesh

    Lots of opportunities.

Although, where would the fun of a muscle car be then? a muscle-water car?

I don't think we rely on the middle east for oil as much as you think. I'm not saying that we can do without them, but we do get a good amount domestically and from Venesuela. I wish we could do something to stabilize THAT government......

        Go nuclear!!!!

There is no shortage of oil.... Texas and Alaska has more oil the the whole middle east.... No OIL SHORTAGED!!! , And Shell gas company just closed down there most producing plat in california. And there are stock piles of gas and oil, so there wouldn't be any gas shortages like what happen in the 70's and 80's... the reasions why gas prices are so high is cause of the people in congress. ok..i am done venting

Well im in the Phoenix area and prices havent dropped a dime. U wanna know why? Because, for some reason we have higher emission standards. Which means we have to use cleaner burning fuel. Which in turn costs more to make.

I filled up at $2.11/gallon yesterday. I too have to drive to make my living. Gotta find me a company close to home or willing to reimburse for mileage because I'm almost spending in gas and other bills what I make. Gotta love SoCal. We have high emission gas but you still can't see Los Angeles, from many places you should, on maybe a whole month combined throughout the year. *basically after every rain storm, even then next clear day it disappears*

Earlier this week, a gas station near my house had 87 for $1.05. Now it's $1.11.

I remember hearing that the Native Americans called the LA Basin the "Valley of the Smoke" before there was a Los Angeles.

You know how to cut consumption of oil? Diesel cars... The new ones are alot cleaner than the older ones made during the 70's-80's, hell I heard them run, and didn't even realize they were diesel untill I was told that it was. The diesels get gas milage comprable to the hybrid cars. Look up how many MPG the diesel Jetta gets. Mercedes makes some nice diesels too.
