well i'm 15 now and i'm looking for my frist truck. i would like to stay a way from FORDS un less they are a 250 and up.But chevy,doge are ok. i would like at lest a 1500.4x4 is a must, step side would be nice,etc. cap i would be in haven.short bed.umm thats it red,bule,black,white are the only colors. what do you guy think stick shift is vary nice

Truck = gas hog.

I dont want a truck, because every red neck down here has one, they are really big lifted pieces, I hate them. Especially when I am in the wal-mart parking lot looking for a space, a guy with a lifted F-350 tries to back into a space, blocks the street for 5 mins, while he tries to back the truck up.

gas prices have jumped 15 cents since monday here..im going to strongly suggest you either buy a small truck..or a small car..
i dont care if your parents pay for your gas or not..
3 dollars a gallon is gonna be hell

My g/f bought a 94 Chevy 1500 with 118k from a local used car sales place. Not even three days after she got it, the oil pressure plummeted and so we got it in our shop and pulled the pan (major pain in the A$$!!!) and found that there were two spun rod bearings.

Stupid used car stealership said there was no warranty on it since it was a 4x4, but since it was so soon after she purchased it they decided to do a 50/50 split on the cost of parts and labor. I tried to get them to pay for just the parts so I could rebuild it, but NOPE! Two weeks later and they're still not done with it!!! I could have had that engine rebuilt in 3 nights!

Actually Id say the cummins is a work truck seeing as its the most powerful engine in its class.

The duramax is an efficient and strong engine. Better for all around, but can be made to have 700hp and 1000+ ft lbs of torque.

I don;t really like fords,
i find with their gas trucks they concentrate too much on looks and theres not really anything impressive about the powerstroke.
