Well, not quite like that... but you could still pull the trigger..

I think the movie Faceoff has a scene like this, but they dont because they are seeing themselves, not the other person. Or something like that, its been a while since ive seen that movie.

Go test it with your markers (Not to the head of course).

Do they have hairlight triggers????????? That would be kinda kool on a real gun, you could like shoot the crap outa him in just under a second, then see how he reacts with 6 bullets in his head.

I'd be afraid of the reflex reaction, but here is an interesting fact. Did you know that if you have your gun pointed at someone, and they have a gun in their hand, but have it pointed at the floor, they could raise it and shoot before you could react? Thats one of the things to keep in mind when evaluating why police shoot people in certain situations. Wait too long and you are dead. Action is ALWAYS faster than reaction.

BTW, I was thinking the same thing when I saw the movie. Thinking back, that sorta thing seems to be a John Woo trademark.

why not try this with our paintball guns, obviously wearing masks, and see if theres enough reaction time. I have always wondered about this as so many movies seem to have a similar scene like this.

It would also depend on the gun (size/type of round) and if the hammer was cocked. If the hammer is cocked the reflex and muscle twitch would cause the gun to go off pretty easy. If it is not cocked then chances are, no, the trigger would be to stiff.

If you shoot someone in the head with a .45 hollow point, I am not sure he will be doing much of anything. You hit him with a standard 9mm, you better make sure you get him good.
