What do you think about guys that crack on spelling?

I posted a topic titled barrel Sieze, this guy went like I think you ment size. But besides that it was like 3 sentences long, but the thing is I always see people cracking on spelling and it just annoys me... What do you guys think?

I think... that the basic American should know how to spell a simple four-letter word like "size."

To some of us, trying to decipher posts that lack even rudimentary punctuation, spelling and grammar is extremely annoying.
In fact, I considered it an insult to my intelligence that I have to wade through a lot of the lazy posts I find on some boards.
But I don't normally behave like some "grammar nazi" and start correcting people. That's not my job.

My job is to make sure that my offspring are better than that. They know the value of communication and that your success in life often depends on how you present yourself to others.
It's a consolation to me to know that the people who can't even put together a post with correct english are the ones who will ultimately be working for my children.

So you go ahead and spell as you like. I won't say a thing.

seriously though spelling is important, it's just not big enough of an issue to cause trouble over... On the other had if you're gonna reside in the continental US

I know you used someone else's reply in your posts but when complaining about spelling you think you might have spelt "meant" correctly
I don't want to have to reset and edit the amount of mispelling that goes on here...I make spelling mistakes as often as the next person, most of the time I notice and edit straight away but then I do also spell things differently to most of the people on here and use different phrases too.
The posts that are badly spelt are the ones using the wierd spelling language that is a so called street slang...bad education if you ask me as the spelling of this varies a lot too text speak annoys me too but as long as the post doesn't read like a "look at me I'm too cool" type of thing it is ok. Think about that last sentence...most of all the yo snizzle etc posts are made in threads where people have posted a thread patting their own back

I like it because I hate seeing posts with poor grammar, punctuation, spelling, etc. It's just annoying.

I once made the mistake of harassing someone about their imperfections in spelling and grammer, it was an error.

Here it is, if it is an oops, or an occassional error than its not big deal, if I can "read" it and get what you meant, than thats fine.

If I have to struggle to read it and understand it - I don't. Your posts should be at least functional in communicating.

Everyone makes typos and spells words wrong. So i don't really say anything unless it's just terrible. Such as a paragraph with no punctuation marks, every other word spelled wrong, and stuff like that.

If it's really bad I'll normally just ask "what were you trying to say? I can't figure it out"
