    Pistons all the way

the pistons are going to beat the lakers at home. the pistons are so much better than the over paid lakers. with the sweep at there place it will make the lakers look like a team that should have never made it this far in the playoffs.

Phil Jackson and LA have had their run. Time for someone else to step up and enjoy it for awhile.

But I do feel a little bad for Malone....

I'm not a Piston fan by any means. I can't stand them. Do you know how many times I had to watch Isiah Thomas shoot those darn 3 pointers and put Portland out of the playoffs? But if the Pistons beat the Lakers...fine.

Speaking of Portland and the Kings. Sacramento has coach Rick Adelman...who Portland fired. They have never been able to consistently get far in the playoffs since they fired Adelman....

Look at the Kings. They have been doing really well the last couple of years...

Confused by all the sports fanatics.

I'm not in any way trying to be insulting or anything like that at all. I just don't understand all this love for sports.

My father and his brothers literally speak in a foreign language when they get together.

What is it about sports that appeals to you all?

Me? I prefer to actually play it than watch it.

            I'm just curious.

Oh yes...the drama of the Lakers. Unfortunately for them, they are down 3-1 and it doesn't look good for them. However, not to make excuses...but without Malone...the Lakers can't win consistently. Look at them during the regular season...without Malone, they had losing streaks. With Malone was different.

Last night's game was very disappointing and Shaq was the only one playing ball. Everyone else was too busy whining about the calls. I don't understand why they didn't keep going to Shaq to force the double team. It seems as if once he got on a roll and showed he was dominant down below, they stopped passing it to him.

I am a Lakers fan and have been since the Showtime era of Magic and Kareem. I must admit, the performance of the Lakers in this series is just . They're not helping Kobe and just let him try to create his own plays, they're not boxing out, they're not working hard on getting the rebounds on both ends, and they just don't seem to know what to do.

It's like when they said the Lakers were out when they were down 0-2 against San Antonio. Who knew they'd come back to sweep the rest of the series. But that's because they finally figured out that they need to shut out Parker and Duncan. Unfortunately for the Lakers, Detroit is doing the same thing to Kobe and the other players aren't stepping up to fill in. The idea of Kobe playing point came far too late. If Kobe can't get the shots off, the least he can do is handle the ball and dish it out to the open player who won't be too shy to shoot the ball.

Anyway, I have to hand it to Detroit...right now, they are the better team.

I could of told you the Lakers would lose. Malone is a curse. All those years with the Jazz and he only had one chance and MJ schooled them. I for one don't feel bad for the guy. He makes lots of money to play ball. If he doesn't win, then he wasn't meant to win. Anyhow. I'm not much of a NBA fan. I stick mainly to College Basketball, and NHL games.

Hasty- To answer your question about loving sports. I for one grew up playing baseball. In fact I played from the age I could swing a bat, clear to High School. It was the game I grew to love. It became a part of life. Now that I've decided to not pursue that life style I still like watching it. However with baseball the regular season is WAY too long. Something like a 110 games before playoffs gets rather boring. So in other words we watch it cause it entertain's, or relives our history. I've played several sports ranging from Baseball, Basketball to Roller Hockey. I like visiting back on the games I enjoyed to not only see if anyone I personally know has made it, and/or my love for the games. Good hearted rivalries and competition.

As for watching sports...it's no different than watching paintball videos on tv.

Correct me if im wrong, but didnt the bulls meet the Jazz in the playoffs two years in a row? I hate to admit it but im still a die hard bulls fan.

I dont even feel sorry for Malone. Never liked the guy. Plus payton has stated he isnt happy with phils offense. Makes me so happy to see them getting stomped. They buy their team just like the Yankee's!

P.S. I would love to watch the Yankee's get stomped this year too!!

Malone and Payton both getting a pay cut in hopes to get their chance to get a ring before they retire was their choice. It shows their wants to being a part of a championship team which was probably their childhood dream. I guess any high profile team would get their fair share of negative comments. How can you look down upon that?

Sure, they are rich and get paid a lot for playing basketball...but who isn't these days? I dunno, trying to defend the team that I've loved for a very long time now is pretty useless amongst a lot of haters.

Say what you want...feel what you feel...oh well, I guess that's how the ball bounces.
