Hard for me to believe, as I've never had any problems with Doc. I remember you PM'ing me about this earlier atm743. I'd suggest heading over to Doc's website and checking his own forum. He often posts updates of what projects he's working on and such.
I know a month or two ago he was heavily backlogged and stopped accepting orders because of an issue with an employee(?) who was (or wasn't - as it were) answering his emails and filling orders for him.Comment

While Doc Nickel has always struck me as the sort of guy who's honest and honorable, this is a disconcerting situation.
The way that I see situations like this (Doc, White Wolf, etc) is such: If a business won't reply to your emails within a few days, something's fishy. Even a quick, "Hey man - I'm still working on it, thank you for your patience..." would suffice.Comment

I think that every custom airsmith needs to post a big banner both on their website and their emails that state that if they do not get back to you, they are not blowing you off, and that your part may take up to a year to receive. This is how mustom shops are. Trust me, Doc is not trying to take you for a ride, but custom shops work slow.

I'm sorry, but thats pretty far away, and he is a very, very, very busy guy. I haven't done business with him before, but thats 'cause I know he lives in Alaska (awsome state, don't get me wrong) and Alaska is pretty damn far away from me here on the east coast.Comment

Doc's pretty notorious about not responding/taking for ever to reply on the whole email thing. That's why you see at least one person a week spamming the guild forum with HEY DOC WHERE'S MY STUFF !!Comment

Anyhow Doc is a slave of his own success, who else is both a paintball deticated airsmith, and an insanly accomplished master machinist? Hardly anyone... in fact I will give you the short list of ppl that fit this standard. Glenn Palmer and Doc Nickel. IMHO Nicad is gonna be on their heels in a few years but dont tell him I said that.
Long story short Im sure he isnt trying to scam you... he is one of them guys that will never die cause some god put him on this world to do a infinate amount of things to accomplish with next to no help at all.
