Well if anyone remembers I'm trying to get out of my phone contract without having to pay the cancelation fee. So here's an update:
I've been calling the HQ about 2 times a day since then, they know me by my first name now
And I pretty much have 60 seconds before they just hang up on me. Anyway, I visited the store today again and hte manager was there. She knows me by my first name too. But she was busy with someone. So I talked with Mark. Mark is the kind of guy I can yell at all day and he'll still call me "sir" So I tell him I want my phone he punches in my # and starts calling ppl. Mean while the manager tells me she though she saw my phone in the back. And starts talking with me about the phone. She says her husband is having the same problems but doesn't want to bring it in because he doesn't want to have to loose his phone for 2 months. So while all this is going on a Ankeny PD officer comes in... the one that wrote me a ticket 3 weeks ago. So I was really courdial to him too.... just a coincidence that everyone that's pissed me off in the last 3 weeks was in the same building at the same time. Anyway, Officer Moeller ( not going to protect any one here ) over hears that my phone has been gone for 10 weeks now and when Chad ( USCC clerk) starts to help him Chad tells him he is going to have to send his phone in. His reply was " well if this guy has been without his phone for 10 weeks I don't want to send mine in" PWNED. They ended up giving him a new battery to see if that solves the problem. Don't we wish a battery would solve the problems. Pry would if you jammed it up someones *** far enough.So anyway Mark gets done calling and tells me that it came back the USCC repaircenter from motorolla and it was still not working so it was sent out again. The manager over hears this and tells Mark to call USCC's head of repair and see if they can't just give me a new phone and use my old one as a loaner. Chad couldn't get ahold of him so he was gonna keep trying and give me a call back and I left at that.
About 15 min ago I get a call from Mark telling me I was denied a phone and mine should be in July 9th.
Not bad turn around time, August 22 to July 9th. So I 'm going back down there next week and will ask for the heads of repairs phone number so I can talk with him. Course I will call him on break and after I get off work for the next 3 weeks until I have ANY phone again. I take breaks at midnight and 3am and I get off work at 5am. I think that will get me my phone back alot quicker if you know what I mean.
I highly recommend ppl look at Sprint, Verizon, Cingular, AT&T whatever else is out there, cause since I've been having problems with USCC I'vev been hearing the story's from everywhere. They sign you up and screw you over.
