    Hey dremel users!

I decided with some extra cash I'll pick up a dremel tool!

Now I want one thats really nice and powerfull, so I can at least cut through aluminum. Looking to spend around $50 bucks, I'm guessing the ones WITH cords are the better to get in general for more power/rpms.

Also would one with numerous speed settings or just the plain old 2 speeder be better to get? I know it would be nice to get the one with more adjustability but is it really needed?

I just bought myself a new Dremel yesterday. Don't know model#'s off hand but it has a gray grip, adjustable speed (up to 35,000), cord, and it included a small tool kit and a nice lockable case. Best dremel $60 will get you.

This one looks like a good complete set up

                http://www.sears.com/sr/javasr/produ...id=00961123000

depending on how much it is it might be a good choice.

And for most uses DO NOT get a cordless one. The above one note is not cordless. You do not really want cordless as your primary one.

Always wear safety glasses when using one.

by cordless cphilip, do you mean the cord that runs to the motor so its like a finger rotary held(flex shaft?),

or cordless as in battery powered? (i dont know if they have battery powered just wondering)

Cord as in power scorce. AC = corded.

And cordless as in battery powered or DC.

The Flex shaft is an attachment. And you want/can use one of them.

Whatever you do, DO NOT buy the Black and Decker brand rotary tool. Both mine and my fathers broke. Now we each have Dremel brand tools, and they work great.
                        My feedback is available here.

DeWalt and B&D are in some sort of co-ownership but I not certain who owns whom....

Firestorm is the B&D higher line. But DeWalt remains seperate line.
