thats sheer BULL! he is one sucky salesman. Our test drive, as well as many others who can attest, said that their salesman said to REALLY let her rip. OPEN IT UP AND GO! its the selling point of the car, and he apparently wont be selling one to you. maybe i can arrange for a more interesting testdrive of my fathers Rx8. When you get a free weekend, let me know, drive on over to my place, you can drive the car, and then we can go ballin at a local field. Let my know if your interested.

Also, i understand your wanting for a convertible, but they dont really make any 4 seater fun convertibles any more. All i can really think of is that audi posted above, and the vw cabrio. and the vw is subpar at best. the 350z and the g35 as i said, will require you to hack your kids legs off to fit them into it. and i dont think you will want to do that

I think the guy didn't think I was serious. Afterall it took me quite a few minutes to convince him that my license was real. He did not know that Jersey has non picture licenses still.

I might take you up on that test. I am still leaning to the Pony! I like the fact that there are lots of go fast parts out there for it. My brothers is now putting 300hp TO THE REAR WHEELS!!!! And all for about 3k in upgrades.

If price is not that big a factor as you say, the BEST convertible that still seats 4 is the BMW M3 convertible. Hands down.

Also, check out the new Audi A4 convertibles.

They are beautiful cars. The pics don't do them justice.

I've done BMW and price isn't a factor in the choices I have listed, but I am not going to spend 50k on any car! Just won't do it. Besides I can't mess around with the M3 .

I'm not exactly an authority on cars, but I just wanted to share with you my brother's (who IS an authority on cars) experience with his 2004 Rubicon. Bought the thing brand new - there are now about 2,000 miles on it - and he's had to take it in for repairs to the transfer case three times already. He's said that you can often see smoke coming out from the bottom of the thing. His sub is out to sea right now, but before he left he wrote to Chrysler describing the problems he's been having and telling them that he wants to get a refund. Which, incidentally, he'll be legally entitled to if the problem (which has been "fixed" three times in 2,000 miles) happens again in the next 34,000 miles.
He's very upset with this whole situation, as he bought the thing to be a reliable car for his wife to use while he's out to sea (and of course to take off-road).
Anyway, I've generally heard good things about the Rubicon, but this was his disappointing experience with his, thought you might be interested. Good luck, have fun with whatever you decide on. Would that I were pressed into such a dilemma.
              Your head asplode!

I had to go to NY/NJ to appraise a nursing home in Brooklyn this year. And this is what I can tell you:

Whatever you do, don't buy a nice car. You guys all have nice cars there and they all have dents and dings. I thought LA was the ultimate driving experience but it is NOTHING compared to downtown manhatten. All those yellow sharks (taxis) just waiting to hit you.

Save your money and get the Z3 or cheaper...

Oh yeah...send me that barrel condom too. Might as well get it over with.....

I live in South Jersey. Pretty much a whole different state from up there!

As for the BCs you had better be ordering 2 of them!
