Actually, in the majority of interviews Ive seen him in, he has called it a "satirical documentary/movie" or similar to that. Ive never seen him out and out say "documentary".

But hey, Im only 16, so Im guessing some one is going to say that what I just said doesnt matter and that I have no say in the subject. So flame away if you must.

He submitted it to Cannes as a Documentary. And won... many will say for anti American sentiment in that segment. Some will say because its a good movie. But... fact remains he is claiming its a documentary in every way. He says its the truth! Many people in the industry here pulled sponsorship of it because it was not. And he did it anyway. His own site uses the term Documentary over and over again. Without any effort to clarify in the way you attempt to do for him. Its clearly being pushed as a documentary. And it only documents his "interpretations and erroneous conclusions" which have all been discredited however he portrays that as attacks on the "truth". Go to his website. Its a complete hype and self vindication of it. As would be expected. I am not calling him a liar. I think he truely believes what he is saying is right. And he thinks his methods are just. However they are not backed up by anyone anymore and I think he is wrong... I am not alone either.

Even French critics blasted this movie!

In the interview, Moore calls F 9/11 "my own version of the facts". That should say it all, it is not a documentary, but an op ed piece.

There is a problem there. Micheal Moore obviously does not hate America. It's people trying to discredit his image by saying he doesn't. When in truth he doesn't like the current President. He has said so himself. He's an independent and doesn't affiliate himself with Rep or Dem's.

Actually, when Moore registered to vote, he registered as a Democrat.

The most recent time Moore registered to vote (after formally transferring his primary residence back to Michigan), he registered without an affiliation.

The box you check on your registration doesn't necessarily mean a thing. I registered as a Republican this past primary to vote for a particular candidate for Senate. Not because we shared a party affiliation, but because I thought he was the best guy for the job. He didn't get the nod, so my vote's still up in the air.

Moore's a hard-core progressive (liberal is too mild a term) that abhors the two-party system. He's independent by default, an outcast from both parties--neither would stand to gain anything by shifting his way. At the moment, his distaste for Bush outweighs his distaste for the system, so he'll be backing Kerry. This doesn't make him a democrat, it makes him a pragmatist.
