factory boost? depends on the car. There are a few hondas here in houston running 23+. But psi isnt what matters... there are a number of turbos that loose and heck of alot of effiency when they are run at high pressures -
not sure what type of blower you have ..but if you want MORE boost you usually need to down size the pulley. 9:1 is from what I remember a high compression ratio for a stock motor, with few going over 12:1. 18.5:1 sounds like the ratio with a blower....Originally posted by mcveighrI think mine stock is like 6psi with 18.5:1 compression I think.

Beyond that build the bottom end for a supercharged application. Meaning forged pistons good rods with new bolts and new main bolts or studs. Buy your camshaft to match make sure its blower or turbo specific which ever way you decide to go. Then next biggest problem with forced induction is the added heat. Dont skimp on the cooling system. One thing you may want to look at though is going to be the height of the system. Will it fit under the stock hood or will you need more clearance. Most blowers or superchargers will need a hole in the hood or some kind of scoop. Most turbos you can hide underneath the hood though some will need a short cowl induction scoop or something. Turbos and carbs can be a real pain to tune they really need EFI to shine.You can go a long way with a smile. You can go a lot farther with a smile and a gun.
