While he remains on the planet and is therefor ineligible for a Darwin Award, he did do the next best thing.
His stupidity has effectively removed him from the gene pool.
Seems to me that that's worth more than an honorable mention. After all, most of the other honorable mentions can still breed.

Yeah ouch, anyone else thing that if he blew his nuts off that means his legs were right behind them, and a shotgun that close probably a whola loat damage to his leegs also. So along wiht loosing his nuts he also probably screwed up his legs royaly so i think he has been punished enough.
