How'd you get it early? My local game store is heading down to the airport tomorrow to pick it up early, so I'll go get mine then. In the meantime, the only way I can not be jealous of you is to let you know that I've had the e3 demo, so THERE

i had the e3 thing a long time ago, it didn't run very good though.

But this is the real deal!!!

and im not allowed to discuss how i got it on the forums I think I may make a video of me playing it tomorrow, if I can figure out how my VIVO vid card hookups work, and if my comp can run this beast.

also its only 3 cds....i was expecting at least 5.

i guess you didnt see the benchmarks from a month ago...

hardocp had benches showing the newest pci-x cards from ATI only getting doublt digits with AA off 1024 X 768 :\

pretty weak considering, more bloat games to move videocards, processors, and ram off the shelves.

was thinkin about scrappin my mobo and vid card to get some pci-x stuff. But probably not right now.

oh and this game is very very dark, and it kinda sucks because you can't have the flashlight and a gun out at the same time. 75% of the time i'm just shooting in pitch blackness hoping i hit stuff :P

And if i try upping the brightness in game it doesn't seem to make a difference at all.

Gamma usually makes the game brighter, not brightness. The demo ran really well for me, unless I unloaded with the assault rifle, then it crashed. O well, I'll be getting it tomorrow so we'll see then.
And I can't believe you stopped playing to post here! Get back in the game!
Estimated time to beat it is around 25 hours, so have fun!

well they don't have a gamma setting in the options only brightness. And I'm not sure what the console key is yet, ill have to look it up.

Damn 56k... I might actually break down and buy it just so I don't have to wait 3+ weeks for it to download...

Well, I for one think that this, of any game to be released, is one worthy of purchase; even the dirty pirates who have never bought a piece of software in their life should buy it.

So your one of those butt pirates that got an early release of it!

But yes, very good game. If you are getting enough sleep, you aren't enjoying it enough.

well since he said it came on 3 cd's, i would assume he has a connection with a store and someone broke the distribution embargo (which is not illegal).
