*What are the best computer games...*

I'm not sure if it's out in the US yet, but if it is, get a copy of Soldiers: Heroes of WW2, it's a World War 2 squad based RTS with the ability to directly control your blokes, a whole bunch of vehicles, and everything is all physicsy.

It's hardly flawless, but if you're looking for something different I would certainly reccomend it, plus it might strain your computer a bit too (if that's what you're looking for).

Another one of my favorite games is Mafia. I beat it last year, then decided to play it again this past May and beat it again. It's a bit like GTA III/VC, but not as open-ended, it's much more realistic and set is the '30's. I defineatly think it is more engrossing, and has a better storyline. The missions are just plain awesome as well.

i too was in the same situation, then discovered battlefield 1942 w/ desert combat mod, i have yet to tire from it....truely awesome

Ya, it's a must have. Beutiful game. Very fun, very addicting, and it's a blast in multi player. Single player campaign is fun too.

BF vietnam has better graphics. I'm not sure if theyu have a modern warfare mod out for it yet though.

red alert 2 (C&C) 5 year vetty)

Those games are the best by far, mohaa espically. Not 1 weapon is better than the other(rifel - sniper rifel - smg- machine gun- rocket launcher (laggs & forbidden in most servers) - shot gun) Each weapon has its own pros and cons makjeing them all equal. civilization 3 owns all. you will be hooked for months and months and months and months. buy it now.

also, oldie but goodie: carmageddon 2.

those 2 games are my faves. i also enjoyed operation flashpoint.

well I am a HUGE First Person Shooter Fanatic so:

Call Of Duty
Battlefield
Battlefield: Desert Combat
Battlefield: Vietnam
Medal Of Honor Series (they really aren't that great anymore, Call Of Duty Blows Them Away, but they are cheaper)
FarCry (not that great of multiplayer gaming, but single player kicks ***)
Doom 3 (I really wasn't too impressed at all with this game, only 4 people online multiplayer gaming... BOOOOO!!!!!, graphics are great though, Single player is pretty entertaining)
