Like Jack and Coke, I have had the 10D for about a year and a half and do not have one complaint about it. The 20D looks great and is priced at where the 10D was when it came out. For that, it is an excelent camera.

I have been a Canon fan for many years, although my first SLR was a Nikromat. In my mind the bodies and features are all about equal with some diff, but I think that Canon glass blows away anything on the Nikon side. But that good glass comes at a high price. For what I got into lenses on my 10D I could have bought a new car

I was using the 70-200 f2.8L IS USM lens and a Canon 420Ex flash. The flash was a bit small for that type of enviroment, but I have not bought a 550ex yet.

Buying fast glass is always worth it. Back in college working for the newspaper I would get to shoot the operas and plays, mostly becuase no one else would do it. I eventually got good at it.

EOS-1, Canon 70-200 2.8, running Fuji 800 film pushed to 1600 and hand devleoped. Woot!

          Man I'd love a 10D.

that's a very nice shot halliday. i have a few friends in dance so i would probably be taking pictures of their performances. posed shots during dress rehearsal aren't a problem but pictures during the performance will be quite a challenge with all the changing lights. i might just have to see about picking up some fast glass before then and practice shooting manual.

I never shot any posed stuff at plays. All dress rehersal. It was tough to make shots and keep notes on who's who and what the point of the sceen was.

My best was my Cops project. Did ride-alongs all semester, mostly at night. Canon A2, 50 1.8, Tmax 3200 pushed to 6400.
