The only change I hated in the Special Editions of epsiodes IV-VI was Greedo shooting at Han. That changed the character of Han, softened his image. All the other changes were cosmetic, and really irrelevant, IMO. I can take 'em or leave em.

Depending on how they do it, substituting in Hayden Christiansen for Anakin Skywalker's ghost in ROTJ is not a bad idea. He should be cosmetically aged, though.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!! If people want all the eye candy, they'd purchase Episodes 1, 2, and soon to be 3. Speaking of Episode 3, that better be the darkest shiz we've seen!

Even if Episode 3 is a bust I'll still be buying the concept book from it. I'm sure Ryan Church and Fehng will have done some awsome work for it.

I have been a huge Star Wars fan since I was a little kid probably because my dad is also... But I honestly don't like the new movies very much. No matter how good the computer animation and special effects are, I find them to be cheesy and boring in comparison to the original 3 movies.

The first time the original 3 movies were reworked, I hated what they added. The stupid extra scenes did nothing for me, and I still prefered the originals. When they added jar-jar and literally took out almost all the REAL people out of the films (replaced by computer generated) it didn't get it for me.

The only thing I liked about any of the new ones was the Darth Maul vs. Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon fight. THAT was good stuff... Aside from that, I think the movies have gone way down hill.

I'll probably be getting the new ones just to check them out, but I was anxious to get the DVD version of the unaltered originals. Not more reworked trash.

EPISODE III

REVENGE OF THE SITH

The galaxy continues to be grasped by unrest. After three years the terrible Clone Wars seem to approach their end.

The separatists are facing defeat. On his way to peace negotiations with the renegade forces Chancellor Palpatine is taken captive in a bold move.

The evil Count Dooku, leader of the Separatists, plans to use the Chancellor as bait to lure the Republic fleet into a deadly trap.

Jedi Knights ANAKIN SKYWALKER and OBI-WAN KENOBI are ordered on a mission to free the Chancellor while the rest of the Republic forces try to stop the capitol world of Coruscant from being invaded...

Their is a massive space battle ensuing on the outer layer of Coruscant's atmosphere. It is the Republic forces fighting the Separatists to prevent them from invading Coruscant. Obi-Wan and Anakin appear on screen in their new Jedi Starfighters. The craft have been augmented by Jedi scientists to make them faster and more resistant. The Jedi's main objective is to free the Chancellor from the flag ship, which is the biggest and most fortified. He is being held captive by Count Dooku. Obi-Wan and Anakin lead a quadrant of Republic fighters to the battle. The Jedi break away from the battle and find a Docking Bay in the flag ship. They land and walk the corridors trying to find Palpatine. On their way they are halted by a cyborg. His name is General Grievious, a Half Man-Half Cyborg. He wields four lightsabers in four arms.

The Jedi decide to attack him, but are met with a great amount of strikes at tremendous speed by Grievious. Grievious manages to wound Obi-Wan as well. They flee and jump into giant tubes that are built into the walls. They arrive into another hallway and continue their search for the Chancellor. Down the hall they enter a big room with a window overlooking the space battle. Anakin finds Palpatine locked up in a chair. Anakin tries to free Palpatine, but Count Dooku appears. Obi-Wan is injured so he can't fight him. Anakin draws his lightsaber and they engage in a duel. Anakin is fighting at a faster rate than Dooku. Anakin soon strikes Dooku down and kills him. Anakin then cuts the locks around Palpatine and they head for the cockpit.

During the space battle, many ships attack the flag ship and continue to damage it heavily. Anakin finds the cockpit empty and tries to pilot it to safety on Coruscant. Obi-Wan and Palpatine strap themselves into chairs right behind Anakin. Many ships are in the way and the battle grows heavier, But, Anakin uses his piloting techniques to evade them and lands the immense flaming ship on Coruscant. Emergency vessels arrive and quench the flames that are overtaking the ship. Palpatine and the two Jedi evacuate it and are greeted by many Senators and Jedi. Palpatine is taken to a Medical facility while Anakin and Obi-Wan head for the Jedi Temple.

Palpatine presents himself to the Senate. He states that the Separatist's leader, Count Dooku, is now dead and the Separatist's are in disarray. He advises that the Republic strike now while the enemy is in chaos. Palpatine ends his speech and meets with Obi-Wan. He takes him to the Jedi Temple for a meeting. Anakin is standing before the Council, and soon is Obi-Wan and Palpatine. Plo Koon and Ki-Adi-Mundi are on missions on another planet, so they are present through holograms. Obi-Wan tells of the Droid Commander, General Grievious, and states that he could still be alive. The Council gives Obi-Wan the objective to find and hunt down the General. Yoda will head to the Wookie homeworld, Kashyyk, to overlook the Clonetrooper outposts there. Mace Windu will stay at the Temple if he is needed on Coruscant.

Anakin suddenly feels angered that they don't acknowledge the fact that he killed Dooku, and saved the Chancellor. Palpatine senses this and appoints Anakin as his personal bodyguard. The Jedi agree and they all leave. Anakin meets with Padme at her apartment. They both have not seen each other for quite awhile. Anakin tells her about the Clone Wars. She suddenly hesitates and tells him she is pregnant. She says only her handmaidens know. Anakin is delighted about the prospect of being a father. He also tells her about his mission to be Palpatine's personal bodyguard. She doesn't think it's a good idea, but doesn't tell him.

The space battle continues over Coruscant. Republic forces arrive and nearly destroy all the separatists. The remnants of the separatists flee and head for the lava planet, Mustafar. In the Jedi Temple, Mace and Kit Fisto recieve a hologram from Aayla Secura, a Twi'lek Jedi. She says her and her Clonetroopers found a separatist base on a tropical world and captured a several separatists. She also states that a data-card they found states that the Sith leader is Palpatine. Mace and Kit are shocked. They think it could be a trick to make the Jedi kill the Chancellor. But what if it's not? Mace and Kit agree to visit Palpatine.

Mace and Kit find Palpatine in his office with Anakin. Mace tells Palpatine about the information and Palpatine lets out an evil cackle. Palpatine reveals himself to be Darth Sidious. And says the Jedi will soon meet their demise. Anakin is as shocked as the Jedi. He backs away as Sidious draws his red-bladed lightsaber. Mace and Kit draw theirs and a big fight ensues between them. During the duel Sidious strikes Mace with lightning and kills Kit Fisto. He then tells Anakin to help him. But, Anakin is too torn apart by his feelings. Who is he going to help? Palpatine tells Anakin that the Jedi always tried to stop him from reaching his full potential. That they are the reason his mother died. Anakin soon fills up with anger.

He draws his lightsaber and heads straight for Windu. Mace leaps up and they duel. Palpatine tries to help Anakin by shooting Force Lightning at Mace. But, Mace deflects it with his lightsaber and it goes into Anakin's eyes. Anakin goes berserk. He strikes at Windu with all his might and speed. But, Mace counters just as well. When they take the fight near Palpatine, Palpatine srikes Windu in the chest. Anakin then kills Mace. Palpatine tells Anakin that he is indeed a Sith Lord. He tells Anakin that the Dark Side could make him the most powerful person in existence. Anakin knows this too well after the duel. He joins Palpatine.

On Utapua, a planet covered with plains and cliffs, Obi-Wan and his contingent of Clonetroopers find Greivious. The Clonetroopers fire at Grievious. But Grievious deflects them with his four lightsabers. Obi-Wan fights Grievious's minion droids who wield plasma staffs that can deflect lightsabers. Obi-Wan kills them and finds his Clonetroopers dead. It is now Grievious v.s. Obi-Wan. They duel at a cliff top overlooking the plains. Grievious is beginning to get overwhelmed with Obi-Wan's skill and runs away. He gets in a high-tech vehicle and flees, but Obi-Wan gets on a large lizard-like beast and chases. They run all over the terrain. At the climax of the chase Grievious jumps out of his vehicle and onto Obi-Wan both roll on the ground and quickly get up. They continue their duel to a separatist base. Obi-Wan cuts off all the General's arms and strikes him down.

Back on Coruscant, Palpatine is before the Senate in a major debate. The Senate states that since the Clone Wars are over, Palpatine must then give up his emergency powers. Palpatine informs them that he still requires the emergency powers to battle a new threat: The Jedi. He states that the Jedi are traitors to the Republic who were actually conspiring with Count Dooku to defeat the Grand Old Republic. He insists that the Jedi are to blame for the millions of deaths and the destruction of many star systems during the Clone Wars. Also, Palpatine relates the story of how a Jedi Master tried to assassinate him. He says that his bodyguard, Anakin Skywalker, was there to stop this would-be Jedi assassin. He says that a firm hand is needed to end this evil. He declares the creation of the Empire.

In Padme's apartment, there is an emergency meeting between the Loyalist Commitee. Senators Mon Mothma, Bail Organa, Fang Zar, Giddean Danu, Bana Breemu are present along with Padme, C-3PO, R2-D2, and the handmaidens. They all agree that Palpatine has gone too far. They all want to find a way to end this threat as fast as possible before too much destruction and killing ensues. They say the democracy is at stake and something must be done. They think the time to act is now and in secret the Rebel Alliance is formed. Sidious is in his office with Anakin. He holograms one of the Clonetrooper Generals, and tells him to utilize all the Republic forces to destroy the Jedi. Anakin is commanded to take clonetroopers with him to the Jedi Temple and kill all of "them".

On Kashyyk, Yoda is overlooking the Clonetroopers in a battle with the separatists. For no reason, they let the separatists escape and attack Yoda. Yoda has no other choice but to fight them off. Yoda is greatly outnumbered and is going to lose soon. Some wookies, including Chewbacca, decide to help Yoda. They kill the clonetroopers
with their weapons and Yoda shows great gratitude. Obi-Wan arrives to find Coruscant in distress. He finds a clonetrooper who he befriended during the Clone Wars. Clone Commander Cody also recieves the order to kill the Jedi. Cody can't stop himself from firing his weapon at Obi-Wan. Forcing Obi-Wan with great sadness too kill his friend. Obi-Wan learns what has happened by holo-gram to Bail Organa and Palpatine's intentions. Obi-Wan decides to hide.

Palpatine learns of the Loyalist Commitee and their Rebel Alliance. He informs his troops that they are very dangerous and to kill all of them. They find Bail Organa and fire. Bail manages to hide behind a red speeder and manages to kill a few in a blaster fight. Bail leaps into his speeder and speeds off. He loses them and heads for Alderaan. Anakin arrives at the Temple with a squad of Imperial troops and kill every Jedi inside. Anakin murders the innocent Jedi Younglings as well. As Anakin leaves the Temple is up in flames. Obi-Wan finds an underground city on Coruscant and finds it is inhabited by peaceful aliens. The aliens are friendly and offer shelter to Obi-Wan. Obi-Wan realizes he can't stay there forever and decides to head for Naboo. He thanks the aliens and leaves in his Jedi Starfighter.

Obi-Wan arrives on Naboo and finds Padme. She tells him what has happened the past few days and that Anakin has left. Obi-Wan wants to know where he is. Padme won't tell him. Obi-Wan uses a tracking device and finds that Anakin is headed for Mustafar. Padme wishes to go with him to find Anakin. Obi-Wan says it is too dangerous. He leaves in Padme's ship thinking he's alone. But, Padme is secretly stowed away onboard. As soon as Obi-Wan enters hyperspace, Padme reveals herself. Obi-Wan doesn't want her to be put in danger, but he has no choice. Padme says Anakin is headed to Mustafar to destroy the remnants of the separatist leaders. They both hope that Anakin can join them to take down Palpatine.

When they arrive they find Anakin and the dead bodies of the separatists. Anakin thinks that Padme lead Obi-Wan there and feels betrayed. His anger blinds him and he Force Chokes her. Using the force he then throws her to the side, she hits her head upon hitting the ground. Anakin then ignites his lightsaber and Obi-Wan ignites his. Their legendary duel begins. They cover much distance as they both exchange blows. Obi-Wan tries to talk some sense into Anakin, but realizes that Anakin is pure evil and must destroy him. Obi-Wan and Anakin fight until they reach the edge of a lava crater.

Obi-Wan cuts off Anakin's leg and Anakin falls into the lava. Obi-Wan tries to grasp him, but all that is left is his lightsaber. Obi-Wan takes it and heads for Padme. As Obi-Wan leaves, Anakin crawls out of the lava. Legless, hairless, and practically burnt to a crisp. A Star Destroyer lands and Stormtroopers arrive to take Anakin to their medical facility. Once inside, the Star Destroyer rockets to the sky. Obi-Wan carries Padme to their ship and just then the Tantive IV lands. Yoda and Bail Organa take Obi-Wan and Padme inside. Yoda tells Obi-Wan he felt a great disturbance in the force emanating from here. Obi-Wan tells Yoda that Anakin is dead.

In the ship, Padme gives birth to twins. She looks into the eyes of her daughter and dies. The wounds Anakin inflicted upon her were fatal. They arrive on Naboo where Padme's funeral is held. Her handmaidens and Sio Bibble are there along with Padme's grieving family. After, Yoda and Obi-Wan decide to hide and wait untill it is time too train Anakin's children to help them. Obi-Wan decides to go to Tatooine with baby Luke. Yoda will hide on the life-infested planet, Dagobah, where he will wait for a young boy to arrive. In a bacta tank, lies the body of a burned up body. A man in a dark cloak approaches. The injured man is put into a black suit to stabilize his frail body. Then a deep breath can be heard. The figure arises. He looks at himself in this suit. He asks his master what happened. Sidious tells him everything, including that Padme is dead.

Anakin becomes so enraged that he destroys everything in the room. Droids a destroyed, people are gasping for air, and the room appears to be collapsing. Anakin Skywalker has ceased to exist, Darth Vader is born. Yoda is dropped off on Dagobah and says good-bye to Bail, Obi-Wan, and the Twins. Obi-Wan and Bail say good-bye as Obi-Wan and Luke walk off into the Tatooine desert. Obi-Wan watches as the Tantive IV flies away. Obi-Wan heads to the Lars homestead. There he asks Owen and Beru Lars to look after baby Luke. They both agree, but don't want him to know of his father's fate. Obi-Wan tells them his new name is Ben Kenobi and says good-bye. He walks off into the tatooine desert, waiting for Luke to grow so that he can be trained to stop the evil Emperor.

In space, there is a whole armada of Star Destroyers. On the bridge of the flag Star Destroyer, stands Darth Sidious, Darth Vader, and Grand Moff Tarkin. They all stare at the construction of their new weapon. In their view is the skeleton of the Death Star...
