I minored in Poultry Science for two years while I was taking Animal Industry/Science many years back. Then spent like 14 years running Research Facilites that were doing a lot of nutrition and genetics in Poultry Science. Later I was taking Veterianry Science and was majoring in Avian Diseases when I was doing that

Plus I got a lot of poultry background in my blood. In fact come from a family (Mothers side) that raised Poultry up in the Delmarva area for Mr. Purdue. My Grandfather was a grower for him and my Uncle was a manager of one of his research farms in Maryland.

So its in my blood. I got Chicken blood so to speak!

Another chicken fact: One hen was recorded laying 364 eggs in one years time span. A record of almost one egg a day for a year without a resting period (Molt). Most chickens produce in the range of 280 egss a year maximum. Needless to say that one hen got studied a lot. And reproduced for genetic strain a lot. I do not know if that record holds today. Its been some time since I was in that field.

yeah those danm thing are good. my girlfriend works at mcdonalds and she brought home a box of the neat strips and a box of quater pounds patties. good eating boys!!!

i wont eat ne kind of fast food chicken..normaly a chickin takes almost 5 months to fully grow and be ready to eat(like the ones in the store)

but fast food places take a ton of growth hormons and pump em soo full that they can even walk!..then butcher em and slet you eat em..i wont eat growth hormons if i were you!..(and it take like 2 weeks!)

Acctually, they take about 29 days to hatch and about 6 weeks to fully develop. That is for a broiler chicken which is the kind of chicken you eat as opposed to a layer which lays eggs.
