    2005 Corvette: $46,000
    2004 Mustang GT: $24,300 MSRP

So, if you give me a Mustang GT and $22,300, I think I have a pretty good chance at making my mustang just a tad bit faster and better-handling than your Corvette . Don't get me wrong, I like the Corvette as well, but you can't compare the two, since the Base Model Corvette costs almost twice as much as the Mustang GT.

Now I can live with the inner lights. But I;d still be happier if they took them out and restyled it a bit. Still the best looking factory mustang made since the 60's and 70's.
Hey, look at that! It's Santa!

A cobra, as well as convertible models, will be offered in 2006. So, what do you all think? Attached is a photoshopped image of what the convertible will probably look like. Also, here is Ford's homepage for the 2005 Mustang: Ford Homepage for the 2005 Mustang and Mustang GT

that picture is of the concept model, refer to my thread for actual production model pictures at 8 lovely ladies

Wait, don't the LS1 camaro's have more than that? I'm going to have to go look that up, that would be a great mustang making fun of fact.

For most people if they really wanted a vette they could have one $30k isn't a whole lot of money when you look at what alot of other cars are going for.

Wow, i guess you're right that the mustang dropped out a bit from 74-86, but thats because of new emission laws. I assume you're aware that in the mid 70's the corvette was a piece of crap, for the same reason, i believe it had 185 hp. I'm sure you know all about the mid 70's corvette, you probably have one along with your brass eagle. Okay okay, a little out of hand, but i'm a huge mustang fan. And believe me, you could by an 03 or 04 mustang cobra, for more than 10 grand cheaper than a vette, and putting like not even a grand into it, you can have lower gears, maybe 3.73's and a smaller supercharger pulley, and have about 450 at the rear wheels, say goodnight Z06....

Yeah, but you can't fit a family in a vette! You can in a Mustang! THat is why I got mine. I wanted a fast, stylish AMERICAN made Convertible!

I've fit 3 in a Vette before (not comfortably).

You think the 'stang can compete? The '05 Vette has 100 more horses on it, and if averything goes according to plan, the '06 will have close to 100 additional horses. We're talking 500hp here, for $45000. And I couldn't beat any Vette with a 4 banger Fiero.

Wanna race? I'll bet you that I can move 4 people faster and LEGALLY from Philly to Baltimore faster in my Mustang then you could in any Vette? How many trips would it take you?

Hence my 4 seater comment above!

I like the new mustang, reminds me of the Mach 1. I also like how you can select your own dash light color, thats a neat feature.

Ohh snapp B, you dun gone n calld me out! Hahaha, okay man:

2005 Ford Mustang GT: Approximatly $26,000
                            300hp / 315tq

                            2005 Chevy Corvette: $45,000
                            400hp

The fact is, No, a Stang can't compete. Why? Because it costs $20,000 less. In my opinion, anyone who compares a Mustang with a Corvette at any chance they get is just jealous because, while the Camaro has become extinct, the Mustang is still around. C'mon, comparing a $45,000 car with a $25,000 car is just rediculous. For the price of a Corvette Z06, I can easily afford a Mustang GT, an Alienware computer, a new Home Entertainment System, a PS2, XBox, and Gamecube, a new top-of-the-line camera phone, and start a retirement fund. Now, would you really rather have an extra 100hp instead of an entire Entertainment System, PS2, XBox, Gamecube, Alienware pc, Camera Phone, and a Retirement Fund with at least $5,000 in it (or if you want, buy a Supercharger and a Chip, and you won't even need to give up all 100hp)?

Ford makes a better block then GM. Just about an hour ago i was coming home from work i smoked a vette. And i have a 67 bronco with a 302 and a 3 speed, He kicked my *** in the long run cause i maked out my gears at 65. Ford blocks are just made better so you get really good low end power to the rear wheels.

The only good thing about vettes are there suspension, and how well they handle.

With a vette all you are is buying a name, not a product
Use a table to get it smaller in over all hight
