Tonight we got a keg for our dorm room. We had an empty keg to trade in but had to rent a tap. I was wondering if most taps are universal or if there are many different types of taps for different kegs. I was looking to buy a tap but I am not sure what kind to buy. Since our party is raging I want to do this more often. Any info on just regular air pump style taps would be apreciated.

Dude just find a liquor store that has a cheap rental fee for the tap, and keep it.
The liquor store near me, at least, is $20 deposit for the tap. Just say someone stole it, forfeit the deposit, and bang, $20 tap instead of paying $40+ for a new one.
If you are going to get a tap, get a "D" Tap. It'll work with the majority of American beers.
