You are not the only one. More of the popular bands in the metal scene kind of suck. They are poor performers and not worth our time. Most of the good bands, like always are those that are not that popular. I remember seeing rammstein for the first time in 1998, they were not incredibly popular but just starting to come out in the states. They put on a hell of a show. Korn used to be awesome until they released follow the leader which marked the beginning of their sell-out... Limp bizkit was better before they got big, metallica sucks. Its hard to find good music these days, sad...

a lot of people dont like slipknot, mudvayne, and other metal bands' music. but most of them kick *** in concert. for example, slipknots drummer platform floating over the audience. totally sav. the hardcore fans are a little wacked...but hey im not judging anyone. im not FORCING you to like slipknot and rammstein. so do you have to spread the hate to a thread filled with people that DO like them? cmon man...i would never bash music that someone likes. i may disagree, but i wont (to their face ) say they suck . but i respect your opinion.

To get back on a musical note(pun intended), I would have to agree a bit about the simplicity of alot of the new metal. I mean, that is what you are reffering to when you sat its bad correct? That its too simple, that its not alot of technical guitar work with stunning vocals, layered in with some good pulse pounding drumming, and topped off with a killer love performance. Thats what you're talking about right?

I mean, what other complaints could you have about bands like MudVayne, and SlipKnoT, and RAMMSTEIN. Because that IS what is wrong with these and other such bands, right? To be honest, I sure am happy that some of those acts can hit the mainstream, its alot better than 99% of everything else thats out there.

Granted this music may not be your cup of tea, persay, but that doesnt mean its bad. Im sure everyone who posted in this thread can listen to some truely bad music. But really defines music as bad? Is it when its too simple? Simplicity = Catchy = Radio = Mainstream = All of us. Just because the music doesnt appeal to you, does not mean that its bad. IMO NO music is bad, its all just different.

But hey, I guess I opened my own can of worms here.
