My posts, regardless of whether or not some find them "useless" or "pointless" are in fact constructed correctly with proper spelling, grammar and punctuation. The point is many people on here hate change and have a knee jerk reaction to it. It's easier to react with anger and discontent than to try to understand and accept. The people in this thread that judge a book by its cover stand out pretty well so I need not name names.

Its not so much as judging a book by its cover, but instead mentally attaching a face to a certain personality expressed by the posts on AO. A certain person has a unique style of posting. Some are immature, some are intelligent etc. As you read a lot of posts daily on AO, you begin to associate a person's personality with a familiar image (the sig). It is what stands out in your mind when you hear their name mentioned. Do you really want to strip away a part of individuality to replace it with a tiny, overly used image? Have you seen the insane reuse of default images of PBN or the copying of avatars that occurs there? All the names run together after a while. Ao is more unique. The regulars stand out a bit and the sig helps you remember the personality of the poster if they happen to be mentioned somewhere
