The answer is I DO!!! IM getting really freekin tired of waking up in the wee hours of the morning (5:30) and walking over to the aero center to check the metars and find out that the ceiling is too low for flight, Damn Vfr conditions. For the past 2 weeks, i havnt been able to complete my cross country from KSLN(salina Kansas) to TKO(mancato kansas) the ceilings have been either too low, or visibility too low, or clouds moving in to make the ceiling too low on the return.
This is just getting old. I really cant wait to get private pilot out of the way, so that i may finally get onto the instrument stuff. get some real IFR time. Its just a bother.
Also, im sorry, but who in hell thought the E6-b was a good idea in its current form? it could be simplified in so many ways, it isnt even funny, but no, in its current stage, it is quite hard to actually get good, solid results. Yes, there are computerized e6-b's to be had, but our master CFI will not allow them to be used as a teaching tool. Try using one on your check ride, and the batterys end up loose in the cockpit. Bit of a bother isnt it?
other than that, if all goes will, il be taking good ol N815KS up and out to TKO.
btw, how many of you are comming to safecon this year? because its here at KSU, and we are showing off our brand new 172/r's with the brand new G1000 glass cockpits. Cessna is giving us the first 5 off the production line. How sweet huh?
Gotta brag
