well my fist ps2 was the orinally and just qiute. now my new one less than 6 months old just fell of my desk wihle paying gta-sa. what will they be werth in a treade in for one new ones.

Call up SCEA customer support. Sometimes they'll fix your ps2 for free. I keep getting error messages in San Andreas. Pissing me off. I called them up, looks like the fix is gonna be free xept for the shipping. We'll see.

They can be cured.

See the little white dial? That little thing controls the intensity of the eye, if its up too high, it wont read, if its too low, it wont read. Adjust the dial correctly, and your ps2 will work.

Take apart the ps2's top, take off the disc tray top, you'll see a little white dial.

I got a brand new ps2 for my birthday. All I can say is wow. It's a heck of a lot smaller then my original PS2 I owned (pretty much hacked off the bottom part the hard drive thing fit in). Plus it comes internet ready. All I gotta do is get some newer games and I might be happy. Plus it's got the pop up top, rather then the slide out drawer for the rom. Pretty cool stuff.

I have one of the original first run PS2s, and nothing about it works anymore. I think I'm gonna try opening it up and poking around, otherwise I'm just gonna buy a new one (I need to play GTA:SA and still waiting for MGS3!!!!!!!)

just remember if you open it up yourself. you void any warranty that you might have left on it.
