    Greg Hastings Paintball?

Has anyone picked it up yet and played it? I'd love to find out what your comments are on the game. Thanks!

Is this the Xbox game? If so I got to watch a few games at the NPPL in San Diego last weekend at the WGP booth.
        Sorry, I'm old

Various reviews have all been very good. They're saying great graphics while retaining enough to keep online gameplay pretty smooth.

Even non-PB people (www.teamxbox.com) dig it.

Comes out tomorrow all over. Most stores didn't have it today.

            RD, yeah..the Xbox game.

Thx digitard...then I guess I'll pick it up too. Hopefully the game also comes with a 2 month free subscription to Live just like Halo 2 did. :) But I've yet to register to Live...need a longer network cable. DOH!

The "2 month free subscriptions" are only for new subscribers and you can only use 1 card per account. So you could have 20 of them and only use 1 (thats why you sell the rest on ebay...lol).

I have a couple that came with games. Used 1 to sign up for XBL and then used the 3 month one that came w/ the live kit I bought for the next.

Go wireless man! Pick up a Netgear wireless router and a Wireless game adapter (not the 100 dollar xbox one, you can get these on ebay for 50).

AAAH! Good you brought up that point about the subscription thing! I have a 12 month from the Xbox live kit I bought last weekend and the 2 month I got from Halo 2. That burns that you can't use both. Not to mention the headset that came with the Live kit..blows monkey chunks!

As for the wireless stuff...I could...but Xmas is coming quick and I can't spend all on it on me. I've been doing that the past year! LOL!! Just need to pick up a $15 network solution without mucking up my existing network.

Edit: Cool Digitard...just put my 2 month free subscription up on Ebay. :)

That was the most half arse game launch since the one caveman that tried to sell tick tack toe

Doesn't help when there's virtually no advertising. I spoke to one of the internal producers in Activision and he barely knew anything about it. All he assumed that it was a cheap game seeing how it was developed by Activision Value.

This is a "word of mouth" game. It always has been.

This game is a niche game. Its made mainly to appeal to paintballers, and those interested in paintball. Its a "see it on the shelf" or "hear from a friend" type deal. They've been sending DEV's to mmany paintball forums answering questions, etc, and people have hype'd the hell out of it in the paintball community. Its a low cost game that they're hoping will get a good rep through word of mouth and then when part 2 comes around they can put some funds into multi platform, and advertising/etc.

So buy the game. Tell your friends. Tell your friends friends.

no freaking multiplayer is the dumbest thing ever...

you cant even be the good players unless you have live, or a link cable

You have to figure the company who made this had a tight frame to make it in, and lower funds than higher end games. They have all these featuers (new content downloads, multiplayer on 1 screen, etc) all planned for GHTP:2, but it has to get a good response in sales for them to be able to do it.

When you're creating a game with limited resources that you need to get a good word of mouth to continue the series you have to create the best actual "gameplay" you can with the resources you have.

Figure you could either spend those resources on polishing the gameplay, graphics, and available content (maps, markers, etc) to the best of your ability to create a VERY solid online and single player experience.

Or... you can cut that amount a bit and try to throw in some other features that might draw from your gameplay tweaking and overall performance.

I picked it up last night. None of the people at EBgames knew what it was or had even heard of it. They had one copy and they had to dig through a box in the back to find it. I must say, it's pretty damn fun. They did a good job with the budget they had. Now I've come to realize that not only do I suck at real paintball, but I suck at virtual paintball too!

Also, I've seen in other threads where people are calling the cheat meater a bounce meter and such. Don't kid yourselves. It's a cheat meater, plain and simple.
