Another Knife Thread... Kershaw or Spyderco

Alrite, I read most of the knive threads I found on AO bassically i learned that Spyderco and Kershaw are nice for the 30-60 price range... I have this old old Spyderco, and its pretty nice the blade hasnt loosend or anything in the long time its been around the house...

I'm 14 first of all ^ ^... So I want something cool looking, and still be able to maintain quality, I've had other little cheapo knives in the past where after a few weeks of use the blade wiggled like a mofo...

I've done a little looking and I've come up with these...

Note, i'll just be using these for carrying around with me, and for random stuff in which they'll be needed... its always good to have a knive around ^ ^,

Those are nice companies. But I'd look into a CRKT, they have one of the nicest blades I ever seen. Look for something with a thick handle, you can't do anything with a thin one.

But out of those, I'd hit a Kershaw Leek, Spyderco are just weird and cheap looking.

I do know the AO sig rules, I just want a free sig pic, that's all!

My favorite knife of all time. Ive had two. Id still have the first one but my older brother has sticky fingers and the second one i lost at my cabin

edit: I forgot to tell you about the knife.

Sharp as all hell and it really held an edge well. It felt really compact clipped inside my pocket. Sometimes id forget it was there. Lifetime warrarnty. If it ever gets dull, chipped, anything send it back and they fix it. And the most appealing and sweetest part about the knife:

      SPRING-ASSIST BABY!!!

hmmmmm /me thinks its time to visit my local outdoors store again

Yea, that kershaw leek is sexy

I bought this buck at ll bean this past summer and its great. I bought it for camping and hiking because its light and its has the clip on the end so it makes it easy to carry.

The Spyderco looks like it will give you some trouble when you're trying to open it one hand. Look into these sites.

              knifezilla.com
              quickknife.com
              ebay of course

Happy Azn, I have a spyderco in my hand rite now, its pretty fun to open actually.... You just place ur thum restest within that hole and push it open, maybe a flick on the end to go SHASHAHSA but i'd also like one that u can just flick and the blade slings out like NINJA

I have the same one without the black blade and the three holes, it's a nice knife for the money. Somhow I don't think they will fix it for free if it gets dull

Spring-assist means theres a little spring in there that when you put a little pressure on the little opening tab thingy it pops open. Kinda like a switch blade but less lethtal and more politically correct I beileve its called the Kershaw Blackout but i may be wrong

Pyro: They most certainly will resharpen your knife if it gets dull. Part of the lifetime warranty

This is where i bought mine

                          well 2 things first:
                          1- your under 16
2- spring assisted is considered "non-gravity acuated"

so dont get caught with one (or any for that matter)

my favorite of all time was a $9 one from where i work

looked like that. had it for years, sharpened once a while, loved it... until i dropped it into the water

so basically, look into the $50 ones, but also look at the $20, as they could be just as nice.
(and it wont suck as much when you loose it)

i also woulnt get one of those really small bladed ones, as ive carried them in my pocket, and had them come out and poke me in the leg... ow...

Glickman, my dad is buying it for me, And i know cops dont really like Teens having nice knives ^ ^.... I had a couple knives this random Switchblade and this flea market one... but i ditched it when i was running from the cops last friday.. Good thing cuz they got me

The Kershaw Storm Folder (not the II) appears to be the same just 3/4 inch shorter when closed.... and its only like 27... I'm kinda leaning into that one, either that or what Taylor and Pyro have shown
