    A bit off Topic...

Sorry guys, this is a bit off topic, but I have to know if I'm the only one that thinks this type of thing should be illegal...

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...538872894&rd=1

You wanted something different to talk about anyway...

Edit: This one is bad. You have to read the small blurred fine print just above the big picture to see that it is a bogus auction...

Yeah, as long as it is clearly stated... I don't see it being an illegal action. However, I would like to see Ebay put a sub-catagory of "Web Link Auctions" to clean up the main catagories.

it is illegal, it's fraud. Even though it's clear as day to us, they are deliberately taking advantage of & misleading ppl. Also, one of the ebay rules prohibits auctions for links.

Will people just shut up about "frad" EBay auctions? If it isn't for a gun going cheap or a nice looking gun we DON'T CARE what you see on EBay. We could really care less if it isn't nice to do, but if someone is retarded enough to not be able to read where it says in bold print "You get a list of where to get a free ipod!" then i'm wondering how that idiot knows what the internet is. Live and learn, I guess it's survival of the people who can read.

WERD!!! I agree with LPB. As long as the ad clearly states that it is for information and not the product it is not fraud. If you cannot or do not read the ENTIRE descrition of the product you are buy you shouldn't be buying on Ebay. I'm sick and tired of people whining that they got ripped or or that there are fraudulent auctions because they CHOSE not to read the full description. If it sounds too good to be true it probably is. Deal with it

It is against eBays' rules to sell this type of item. The auction is theirfore void and no one is obgligated to pay for it no matter how stupid they may be. For those that say this type of auction should be allowed, that is for eBay to decided. You have no control of what eBay does, they are a private corperation.

I hope you buy a car and it throws a rod two days later so you can "deal with it".

I thought this was the best in the one wiht the really small print at the bottom the guy says
"Please be very clear on what you are bidding for as no refunds will be offered, I've tried to be as honest as possible."

I find it funny he says he is being honest as possible, casue to me it seems like he is being the complete oppisite.

honostly people, if you are really stupid enough to buy it and expect to get an ipod u just dont deserve to live and make your own decisons(sp?). he clearly states what he is selling, its not a fraud by any means. it wasn't even in small text.
