    In that case we should do away with the unreasonable search and seizure clause. Only criminals will be affected by this as it doesn’t hurt the average person if the police search your home or your person for contraband.
    One small piece at a time that is the best way to strip people of their rights. Most people are willing to give a little here, and a little their for "security" or some other reason. Once a right is gone it is extremely hard to get it back. The majority of America could cry out about the patriot act being wrong and nothing would be done about it because it already exists.

          The problem is, that its simply a step closer to a reality where the us govt can put anyone in jail for bits of evidence collected here and there out of context. Hell imagine what that would do to a presidential race when johnny law starts invasively spying on whoever it wants? Its a big step to that point but we are still a step closer to a dictatorship thanks to the patriot act.
