Just out of curiosity, why non-serrated? There have been so many reasons the serration on mine has been extremely handy (especially cutting rope, thick rope... oh god *orgasm*), and I can't really think of any reason you wouldn't want it?

If it only comes partially serrated, that's cool. Just never been a big fan of serrated blades. I guess mabey 'cause they're a bit of a PITA to sharpen.Classic RT - RT02667

I got my legal one in China Town LA for like 9 dollars. Surprisingly nice knife and I keep it sharp. I wouldnt buy one online make sure you can hold it and touch it and play with it first so see if it feels good. After a while if it still holds up and flips open smoothly I consider it a good knife.
I wouldnt spend too much cuz I would probably loose it or leave it in my paintball bag or something and never see it again untill I had already bought a new one.

Is this an everyday knife or like a hunting knive. Cause if its an everyday knife, just get something from like k-mart for about 10 bucks cause they get lost, a lot. If its a hunting knife, I would go and look at a sporting good store for one that you like. I personally pick my knives by feel and quality. Surprisingly, my favorite knife right now is a Snap-On folding knife. I also like Schreade (sp?) and kershaw knives.Comment

Knives Currently on me:
AGD superknife
Smith & Wesson S.W.A.T. (love this knife, can be bought in 3 sizes, silver or black, straight blade or half serrrated)
other knives i use:
4" Buck knife(hunting knife)
leatherman tool
gerber multi tool
thats about it, all i trust is the high end knives cause i hate it when some cheap POS knife either wont cut, or snaps in half(has happened more than once to me)
is a pick of the SW knife i have. ive had it for about 1.5 years now, and after only a bit of sharpening, and everyday use, its still about as sharp as when i got it.President Of the UW-Madison Badger Ballers

SW is junk, I had one it was the first knife I bought that wasn't $6 or so so I thought it was the greatest thing ever for a while also. I used it at work for the summer and that's as long as it lasted, it won't hold an edge, the blade bent, and either it's too hard to open or the blade wobles around.
The low end kershaw I have now cost about the same as the SW and is a much better knife.

Spyderco Endura. They're inexpensive, lightweight, durable, easy to open/close, etc. The one I have currently has lived in my pocket for about 10 years.God gave you a soul.

Benchmade all the way. Between Target Practice and myself we have three Benchmade EDC knives.
The 921 Switchback (Mine, in blue/combo edge)

His:
Mel Pardue 720, stainless.

Osborne 940, green combo edge

Can't break the things, etc etc. I've had mine well over a year and it's yet to fail me, and always gets impressed looks fron the knife shop guys
If you're looking a little cheaper, I highly reccomend CRKT. They're workhorses, and a knife that will run you around $50 and will do everything you need it to? not bad at all.
EDIT: Oh, and the axis lock on all of those knives? One handed ambidexterious, as with the thumb knob.It is the smoothest locking action ever. It's like buttah. You can also switch the pocket clip to either side.
Also, using a karambit as a utility knife? That's 1) asking for trouble and 2) screwing up your blade for when you actually need it for self defense... But then, who am I.Such a sham(e).Comment

[QUOTE=WickeDKlowN]I'm looking for a knife myself. Needs a pocket clip, non-serrated blade, and easy to open/close with 1 hand. Got ~$50 for it. Been looking at the CRKT M16's. Any other suggestions?[/QUOTE
