Glocks have two known extraction issues.

The first involves the ejector. There is a piece of metal in the ejector mechanism that is prone to bending and deformation.

The second involves double feeds. A double feed is when a round is fired, the case fails to extract from the breech for whatever reason, and a new round is rammed in behind the empty case. When you run a double feed drill in other guns, you put a spent case in the breech, slide a fresh one in behind it, and do the tap-rack-lock-rip-work-tap-rack-fire drill. However, if you shoot a glock, you have to use a plastic dummy round instead of a spent case. The reason? The spent case will become horribly jammed in the breech if you try the drill, and you actually need to shove a rod down the barrel to get it out. Now, if you are a police officer in the field, and you have a double feed, guess what is sitting in your breech? A spent case. Not good.

Don't get me wrong though, glocks are fine weapons. I just think that you need to know its shortcomings.

I have yet to find a Glock that I like. I've shot them in 9mm, .40, and .45. But, it can't be stressed enough...to each his own.

The Desert Eagle was indeed first offered in .357 magnum.

That Win. M75 was a wrecked, beat to poop, sad affair of a rifle when I got it in trade. After I removed a LOT of damage, I had a smith do some magic on it. I set it up originally for Sarah, to fit her when she was younger. However, it still fits her fine, and most others too.

Well under an inch at 50 yards is quite common with most any ammo.

Well color me corrected. Army, I'll try and get pics up of what the 75 can do. Sarah and I were shooting at a stick half an inch wide at 50 yards. Put one right through the middle.

it was a joke i just beat the trial version of halo on legendary using a plasma pistol 3/4 of the time... took out at least 8 hunters with them. then i beat the trial version on easy without firing a single shot... and then i decided that that was getting pretty pathetic and i finally decided halo was cheap enough to buy, so i got a copy for $20 shipped.

haha lol ok, i think ill end my thread hijack here... but i dont really have anything to contribute since i dont know anything about real guns whatsoever, except for what ive picked up on AO or from friends (from friends being mainly things like "omfg the desert eagle in madness interactive is soo awesome!!!")

Oh come on...there are ways around that.

Same position here. The Glocks just don't have the "feel" of the SIG. I guess the 9mm I shoot in competitions has grown on me. But of all the handguns I've tried, the Kimber is King.

Issue M14 have arguably THE best box magazine ever made.

If I go into combat when I enlist (looks likely), I'd definetly trust one of those over an AR.

My cousin (Current Army) says the same thing. The 5.56 just doesn't have the knockdown power of the .30-06.

The Garand clips are rather easy and quick to load, and since they are double stack, they're rather compact. You don't have to worry about ejecting them (that's the best part). The ONLY thing I don't like, is that you can't really load a clip that isn't full into the gun. They do, however, make 2-round clips and a single shot "clip".

Eh, s'not so bad. Hell, I've hurt myself worse trying to load a .45 Glock magazine.
