a lot of people rip on nickelback but IMO I like there songs.
do they sound similar sure, a lot of band do also. But its just like every other bandwagon, it became cool to hate them.
I really dont care what type of music it is, or if it sounds similar to the other songs they sing, if I like it, I like it and I will listen to it.
IMO if you limit yourself to one type of music your only depriving yourself.

I'll say one thing, they are a great live show. They tossed cups of beer out into the crowd. And very rarely did they miss who they aimed at.
The only other one with a phenomenal stage show was Creed. Yeah, Stapp was a tool, but Tremonti was a god on the guitar.Comment

I think they're pretty good...I am pretty biased though, since they came from the town like 5 minutes away from me.

i hated nickelback before it was the cool thing to do. I saw them live at the y 100 featsival 2001. Line up was Lit(awesome) Nickelback Sum 41(awesome show) Bush(AMAZING) and Blink 182(eh)
nickelback blew out the *** i thought. Who remembers spinal tap? where the bassist leans toofar back and has to be picked up? well i coulda sworn this was going to happen to nickelback. it was sickening.
NOT TO MENTION.... they tried doing a cover song of the ghost of tom Joad, the Rage song.... yea... they butchered it... it was horrible

Ghost of Tom Joad was orginally done by Bruce Springsteen, not by rage....
however, I haven't heard the Nickleback version so I can't really comment - but the Bruce Springsteen version is a bit poo (I'm a brit!)
