AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
I've got nothing against Nickelback. I saw them this summer w/3 Doors Down and Puddle of Mudd--it was a great show. In fact, they (Nickelback) did a partial cover of "Cowboys From Hell"--Pantera they're not, but that doesn't mean that they weren't influenced by them. Besides, they're not any worse than Metallica...now there's a true disappointment to music (and if you say otherwise, you were never a real fan, or you're lame) because they suck!!

Creed most definitely were a Christian-rock band before they went mainstream... then they kind of tried to put that behind them. Then they broke up 'cause their lead singer seemed to have snapped. They recently reformed with a new singer, calling themselves "Altar Bridge".
And yet, they still sound the same... it's a miracle!

I watched the VH1 special they did, as well as their website- They have emphatically said they were not Christian Rock. They may have been Christian in religion themselves, but never christian rock.
As for Alter Bridge- the band was formed from 3 former member. The dummer and guitarist and they brought back the original basist that was fired between the second album an the third. The new singer doesn't have the vocal range that Creed's singer did.

I for one, never liked Nickelback. They are one of those bands that make me think of Bill Hicks ranting about mediocrity being a goal and "All these fevered egos tainting our collective unconscious, making us pay a higher psychic price than we ever imagined." Never liked matchbox 20 either. Music has gone down hill. I wanna kick Jonathan Davis in the skirt, tell Chester to cheer up, and let Fred Durst know that no one cares anymore.
Seriously, you know, all those Alternative bands from when i was younger might have sucked if you were sober or didn't personally know some one in the band, but at least they were something different and not constantly whinging about a break up. I mean, c'mon there are plenty of women that will love you for your money. Maybe even a couple that will like you for your whiney over paid mediocore personality.
