I do hang out with his friends, they are the people i usually hang out with but im a year older so a lot of my friends are in my grade and i get the impression that he hates all upperclassmen. Also i havnt drank since new years eve in canada, which i consider quite an accomplishment.

I'm just wondering if the girls were in the car at the time of your little lecture? If yes, that could be a huge part of why he's pissed off at you. Nothing pisses a guy off more than another guy practically calling him a pussy in front of girls, especially if they were hot. A good friend would have respected his decision and wouldn't have kept pushing for him to go.

i wasnt trying to force him to come drink but we were on the way home from a basketball game in another town and the party was on the way home i didnt even plan on drinking i just snapped at him because as soon as i suggested going there he started talking about how he hates all of the people that would be there, that just so happen to be my friends, yes the girls were hot but i dont think he likes either of them.

i tried to apoligize over messenger last night and he ignored it i think im supposed to be hanging out with a "mutual" friend tonight so maybe he'll get over himself.

i dont know what else to say to him?

im not really worried about it anymore, i just didnt want to be more of an *** than i already was.

If your grammar is poor on the internet, it WILL filter over to other areas of your life. Don't be an idiot, Wicked. While relationships are important, some things are MUCH more important. Like grammar. While you will probably not be the best of friends with these people twenty years from now, your grammar will still be with you. Just because it is the internet does NOT mean that you should be lazy.

On another note, you are just contributing to the problem by "instant messaging" him. Call him on the PHONE, or better yet, go to his house to appologize in person. It will prove that you care for that friendship, whereas a faceless instant message will not.

The hell it isn't, quik. If drinking causes problems, then one day with out drinking is a GOOD DAY.

Because of my history I am very anti underage drinking and drug use. Take it from someone who has been there, done that and nearly lost friends because of it. Drinking and partying is not all there is to life. Cut your buddy some slack, maybe he just doesn't want to get busted when the police show up. Atleast around here, if there is alcohol in the house and there is underage drinking, they slap everyone they catch with an underage. So just being there is as bad as doing it. When you start to loose friends because of booze and parties, you need to look at your priorities.

You're right, the majority of underage drinkers are responsible enough to participate.

i didnt drink that night so i guess i was the dd, and no were not responsible underage drinkers but my "group" doesnt drink and drive.i hate it when i hear people bragging that they drove home from a party after 15 beers, its just stupid and i realize that.

so you think i should call him or try to talk to him? i guess he'll be at the basketball game tonight, so i'll try.

                              anymore advise for me?

Try and approach him in an isolated area. This type of confrontation may turn sour in public.
