You probably won't believe this ( I know I sure didn't believe it at your age), but barring an untimely death, tou too will look back and realize that your parents were right most of the time and you'll see just how insignificant your problems were in retrospect.

By the way, stick with the piano! You will be gald you did! Musicians get more [word that means donkey] than a toilet seat! Even the keyboard players.

Thank god for the parents you have, that they love you enough to lay down boundries in hopes that you will bocome a productive adult. Do your best to listen to thier guidence now, it will help you later on in life. and remember no parent is perfect, every single person with a child wonders if they are "doing it right". I doubt my parenting ablities every day, I honeslty want my children to live a fulfilling life and learn from thier mistakes; but not untill i feel they are developmentaly able to handle it. Keep your chin clean and your head high, set goals for yourself to achieve and your parents will let the rope a little looser as time goes on...

Way to be offensive to Catholics there, buddy.

You can try talking to your parents if you want. I have a bunch of far more mature friends that I tell the same thing to when their parents get them down.

My apologies if it offended you or anyone else, it wasn't my intent nor did I see how it could have been when I posted it. That being said, once you pointed it out and I thought about it it could be taken that way and it was naive of me not to realize that when I did it. It wasn't meant to be and I do hope everyone can take it in the spirit of jest it was meant in. If I did offend anyone, I do apologize.

PS - no, I don't automatically go back and delete my mistakes, unless requested, I feel thats kind of like just hiding them and pretending to be less fallable then I am. If you wish it deleted, then I will.

I dont know what to tell you but for sure dont get caught drinking, smoking, fighting, drugs, whatever. Its because your parents dont trust you. My parents dont trust me to to this day and they stay awake every night I go out to make sure I dont come home in a cop car or beaten up all bloody or something. Both of which used to happen frequently a year or so ago. Its like scarred in their mind that something bad will happen and im 18 so they dont really give me any rules, just worry you know. Its kind a of a pain in the *** but I remember back when they trusted me and didnt worry about me going to jail or getting jumped or something and those were the good days I wish I could change a lot of things I did. My worst memories arent getting arrested or even getting jumped where I had to be in ICU for 2 days. Stuff like that just makes you harder its watching my mom cry thats the worst memories i have. Dont be mean to your parents over it when it comes down to it they just care about you a lot and are afraid to let you make your own mistakes. Moral of it all is dont lose your parents trust right now or life will be way worse if they are already that strict on you. Give it a few years and you'll find yourself doing whatever you want someday. Looking back on things I think most people would get way farther with their parents if they just sat down and talked to them as mature as possible( I know its hard). If you freak out go all rebel youth on them they will just trust you less.
