It's pretty good - worth the ticket. I think I'll pick up the DVD too when it comes out. Lucifer is like the nicest dude in hell - it's kinda funny... not that it is supposed to be. It's also kind of funny where the Spear of Destiny is hidden... that's exactly where I'd put it!

I'm going to see ittoday, possibly tomorrow, hopefully it lives up to all the good things I've heard about it. Is the plot/idea of it easy to follow?
btw, Tony3, I love your sig for some reason, it just mystifies me. Did you make it?* If not, where did you find it?*

What was kind of interesting... was the Bibles in hell... with extra lost books.

don't worry, it's not. it actually has just as many funny parts as it does scary parts- in my opinion.Originally posted by tony3Holy (bad word), that movie looks scary as hell. "I don't believe in the devil." "Well you should, he believes in you."
yeah- it was deffaintly worth the ticket, but it's not the type of movie i'd buy on DVD.pie sucks

I just got back myself, thought it was a pretty good movie. the parts in hell were extra creepy, and how the people died and stuff. yikes.

Have to disagree, Gabriel was my favorite part... I know he's normally portrayed as on man's side, but from my readings thats not neccessarily the case. (Gabe did the 1st born, right?)Originally posted by EagleMy only gripe is the portrail at the end of Gabriel as a bad guy. Otherwise I thought it was pretty good.
I don't know, I give it a solid 6.5. Parts were neat, and I like extreme twists on biblical/religous material, but I felt they didn't go enough into why and how the angels (seraphim? halfbreeds, anyway) and demons (not sure who these guys are) interact with man.
Like those craptastic Christopher Brown (maybe) novels like "The Gathering Dark" where there are legions and ranks of hell-soldiers, and vampire ninjas, and dark sorcerers. Leaves the reader/viewer behind, going "wtf? Plenty of good material out there, why make this stuff up?"God....I guess I was probably returning videotapes.Comment

I liked it , one of the few movies ive seen recently that i felt good paying to see it. I liked the bible in hell, use of relics and the Alchemist symbol on his arms.
I was thinking when they said half breeds they would be talking about Nephillim( Children of the fallen angels) not the Seraphim ( high ranking angels).
The hell scenes were amazing, the issues of balance we're kind of cool giving an atmosphere of a cease fire between two super powers, Gabriels plans to make the humans not take their forgiveness for granted was kinda cool.
The first exorcism really set the scene for the whole movie.
Gavin rossdale isnt too bad as an actor, now if he'd break up with Gwen so she can marry me ill be happy./Comment

If your referring to the plauge of the first born, the Bible is not specific about the name or group of angels, as found in Exodus chapter 12.Originally posted by SCpoloRickerHave to disagree, Gabriel was my favorite part... Gabriel for the most part is known as the messenger; the two times he shows up in the Bible he has some important message to deliver. He shows up first in the book of Daniel, which is kinda cool because he makes also makes a reference to the angel Michael helping him against "the King of Persia" which we guess to be some sort of high ranking demon. Fast forward several hundred years and he's talking to Mary about the child she is to have. I think that's just about it, correct me if I'm wrong.
As for the movie itself... I liked it a lot more than I thought I would. I definately wouldn't mind seeing it again.Comment
