I believe it was in Mexico, I remember learning something about the Nazi's trying to get Mexico to attack the US. Yeah, I remembered Mexico as well. Story there is, U.S. intelligence "intercepted" a telegram, purportedly from the Reich, offering assistance for a Mexican invasion of the states. IIRC, it ended up being misinformation, but I don't remember who was behind it.Originally posted by RogueFactoryKid

It was the Zimmerman telegram in WWI not WWII that was the Germans trying to get Mexico to attack the U.S. But why couldn't an agent place it in a safe house in Mexico to hopefull retrive later but was killed.Marker Set up:
