AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
Totally the opposite happened to me. Me an a coworker actually got locked inside a room. We were at one of our remote sites working on a site consolidation project. We were basically finished with the project and everyone besides me and my coworker left. We went into our MDF room(comm room) to get some equipment. We let the door close behind us without realizing that you can't open it from the inside. We decided to use the overhead paging system hoping that the cleaning crew would hear us. 30 minutes later and many keys later, the cleaning crew came in and let us out.
Was she cute?

lmao, that's crazy. i got locked out of my house before but i went around back to the patio, lifted the sliding door up a little and pulled it over. (it used to open right up if you did this. ive since gotten that fixed)
but there was one time when i was playing woodsball, that i locked my keys in my truck...WITH THE ENGINE RUNNING. haha.
well i drive a Ranger XLT SuperCab so it has the sliding window in the back. i was trying to get that open with a Blockbuster card, then tried a Best Buy credit card. neither of which worked. then a little lightbulb turned on in my head. i looked at my bike, took it out of the truck, found a big rock, busted the spokes all up in one spot, took a spoke, bent it into an "S" shape (it fit better this way), slid it in between the seal and the glass, got it behind the latch, pushed it outward to push the latch towards the front of the truck (which opens the latch), then pushed the window right open. it was crazy. i felt like Mc Guyver.
then i had a problem. I CANT FIT IN THE WINDOW. so i get my little 12 year old cousin who was playing with us. he slides in the window and opens the door, haha. it was crazy.
The lock on my bedroom window is broken, so whenever I lock myself out I have to go all and climb in. Luckily no cop has been driving by when this happened
So i am a painter for college pro painters.. and last summer something like this happened.
We were working at this house that needed us to paint on the inside to do the windows..
Long story short, the homeowner told use the door was unlocked and for use to just walk in and do our thing while they were away. Well we had to get the job done cause we had to get to our next house so my JSM opened the window and went in to open the front door. Some family across the street called the cops and yeah.. it was funny.
you should hide a key in your yard somewhere. dont use those key hideing devices you can buy at stores, because other people have them too and might recognize them.
if you have a dog house with shingles, hide the key under one of the shingles. or if you have a shed, stash it on there. or be crazy and put it in a container and bury it. lol
be creative.

i think i could fatham a guess of where your key is wink wink nudge nudge
I ended up locked out of my apartment one night, and it wasn't because I had left my keys inside. When I put my key in the lock and tried to turn it, the lock wouldn't turn. Upon removing my key, the entire barrel of the lock came out with it, sending spring-loaded lock pins flying in every direction.
So there I am at about 2 a.m. standing at my front door with half a lock on my key and the other half on the door. The neighbors upstairs were still awake, amazingly enough, and I was able to borrow a hammer and some masking tape so I could go and bust out a pane on the porch door... turned out that the porch door was all one pane and darn near indestructible. Five solid thwacks with a hammer failed to even crack the glass.
I finally got a hold of the apartment complex maintenance folks, who showed up about an hour later with a screwdriver. The guy just jammed the screwdriver into the hole where the lock barrel went and turned... the door opened.
I now carry a screwdriver in my truck at all times. :)
Aren't computers grand? Lol at least you didn't have to break a window or something. Try explaining that to the insurance company. Important thing is you learned a valuable lesson. Exactly what it was I'm not sure, but I know you learned one.
