Quality Of The Threads (Serious Topic)

IF YOU DON'T HAVE ANYTHING WORTHWHILE TO OPINE ABOUT, THEN DON'T BOTHER POSTING!!

Over the past four years of visiting and posting on AO, it's sad to say that the overall quality of the posts has gone downhill tremendously--even in the "Friendly" Corner. I virtually cannot read through an entire post without someone being flamed or berated by some fifteen-year-old with nothing better to do. Go over to PBN if that's what you want to do...leave AO for the people who truly care about it!
Even in the Paintball Talk forum, someone can't just post and get some worthwhile help. Even the Mods don't post as much anymore!
I personally don't care that there are no more sigs or that there's no Hot Chick Thread. These things matter not. What would be really great is if the people (and you know who you are) who post stupid crap, would just spend their energy on posts that are of interest or help to most people.
I'm not saying to not post about personal losses or things of such nature, but knock off the stupid replies to someone who has poured their heart out to the entire public!! Show some sympathy, empathy, or hell, even some apathy--just stop being a bunch of post-whoring idiots!

EDIT: I don't come to AO during the weekends (and I work the mid-shift), so if I don't reply in a timely manner, it's not because I'm being an A-hole.

while I totally agree with this post I think that posting about it is worthless. Many including myself have made similar posts and nothing has changed for the better. If you don't like it then leave, since no one is forcing you to stay. Haveing said that I should point out that if you are looking for a more mature level of forums there are indeed many other forums out there that are both interesting and friendly on top of being mature.

I mostly just read nowadays, I don't feel like being lectured by 15 year olds.

In my opinion, the AO family is still here, we've just grown quite a bit. Take the new, inexperienced posters lightly. Lead by example.

Most importantly, go to AO events. Help organize them. Help encourage others to come and play straight up ball with friends. That is what AO should be about.

im 15.. and i hate pbn and the thorums.. more like adults who have nothing better to do but flame the younger ones to make themselvs feel better about themselvs.. so they go around owning 15 year olds.. and whats a 15 year olds initial reaction but to save themselvs and flame them back.. just my opinion..
