Apparently you missed my point.... You're speaking too generally. EVERY genre can be stereotyped like you just did. Rock, metal, punk, jazz, ANY OF THEM.
Like I said, I don't listen country or rap, but talented musicians, and abundant ammounts of musicianship can be found, if you delve deeper than the premanufactured/commercialized crap that saturates the market.Comment

"Rooster, sorry bro maybe I missed something...but Pink Floyd, Doors, Cream, and Zepplin (most of that first list) don't qualify as Heavy Metal....Classic Rock, yes"
They were considered electric blues at the time, but the where the originators of heavy metal. That's realy what Heavy metal is, the rythm and sense of blues with rock instruments. Granted when a band is around as long as many of these were, they drift in and out of what the deffinition of heavy metal is, but if you discount everyone who ever drifted out of the form it really only leaves black sabath as the only moderately popular band to spend a career playing heavy metal.

Good to know that somone of Tom's status seeks "relief" from a sport he helped create. A sport now ruled by a single patent.Comment

I picked up "Hidden treasures" about a year ago, and really didnt start listening to it until I got it on my MP3 player. Lots of good stuff. "Crush 'em" and "Kill the king" are all great tunes, but I never heard of them before I picked up this album. I think they may have been sound tracks or something.Originally posted by Acer12ah man i love megadeath to. I always wonder what metallica would of been like if mustain wasnt kicked out. But man i love symphony of destruction.
