AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
Been driving since 16, nearly 19.5, no tickets, no accidents. My car got railed in a parking lot once, but I was in the store, so obviously not my fault.
I was under the impression that the 14 y/o law in SD is for farming and such..

yah.. its for farming.. thats why we can drive at the age of 14.. but i dont farm.. nor will ever farmm... but yah.. thta is the reason why we can
Well, you're a young bigot (and whether or not you thing religious slurs/jokes are appropriate with your mother, I don't think they belong on AO) that really needs to learn to be more careful when you drive.
The people around you were lucky that you were careless AND stupid. If you were only careless, you could have hit a moving target that may have been unaware of your disregard for the safety of objects around you. As it was, you were stupid and not even aware enough of your surroundings to know where the inanimate objects were.
What did you expect to accomplish? If someone tells you your car is leaking something, you should have got out and had a look.
Well, hopefully you'll have to pay for the damages and you'll learn your lesson.

yah.. ill just stop in the middle of a tiny parking lot.. instead of puling back into my spot... wow!.. what and idea!
i knew you were smart!!...
dont call people stupid.. when you are just as stupid as ne one else..
stfu
I'm sure the vast majority of us will admit to doing stupid things from time to time though, sometimes on accident, sometimes not. Unfortunately for some of us (like me) those stupid things are more frequent, and sometimes come at the end of a serious consideration into how stupid it is.

Well, you DIDN'T pull right back into your spot did you?
No, you were dumb enough to speed backwards into an inanimate object.
What a tool.
I'm glad the post was there. It saved others from having to pay (either from being injured or having their car run into) for your complete lack of basic driving skill and awareness.
Your description of the event is messed up as well.

If you were going backward (and not pulling forward as above) what the hell were you doing going quickly enough to do damage?
If you were going back into your spot, how the hell did you manage to hit anything?
It didn't just "happen" and was entirely avoidable on your part. Add in the racist comment and the seeming air of carelessness and lack of taking responsibility. No sympathy from me.
When you hit an inanimate object, the first thing to admit to yourself is your own stupidity. After all you've just proven it to everyone watching and it was no one else's fault. May as well be honest and take it with a smile.

Let me add to this. There are bound to be mistakes in life, and you are going to repeat the mistakes over and over and over until you learn where you are at fault in them - even those that are not directly your fault and correct the part that you caused. This one was 95% your fault, that pole didn't jump out at you - sure someone else could have placed it better, and they should learn from it, but thats not an excuse for you, nor is your mistake an excuse for them.
Now.. you made a mistake - smile about it, admit it, and laugh about it - it was pretty stupid and telling the world why its not your fault, that you didn't make mistake can only make you look like an idiot.
Now.. having admitted it - learn from it so you are less likely to repeat it.
Its a simple process, its amazing how hard it is for some of us, myself included, to put into application.

haha I used to drive all the time when I was 13/14 ish. It was a really bad idea because theres millions of people where I live and I coulda hit someone. Luckily the dumbest thing I ever did back then was turn the car off but I forgot to put it in park or something, i dont remember, and i got out to yell at a friend in a Subway and my car started rolling away. There was a bunch of people watching and laughing at me it was funny as hell. I had to run and open the door and jump in as it was rollin down a hill ...I felt really cool....
