-Battles, what's better than watching two people with skills battle back and forth. Unscripted flows are just amazing

-Lyrics, yeah beats are cool and you can't discount them but HipHop is all about the lyrics to me.

-5%ers in the game. This is music for the betterment. Teach the children

    Dislikes
    -Fake *** emcees

-The culture of the hard. Not neccessarily just the gangstas but all those who (try to) use hiphop as a tool of intimidation. We all know who they are white, black, asian etc. they all do it and it just makes hiphop look bad.

This is just a distilled list but it hits the major points

OMG Its all about the freesyle battles. Honestly tho you can't really get enough of smug people get clowned in public, hard! Its just funny when you see and hear about 50+ people go "OOOOOOOHHHHHHH" when a dude drops the most clever, dissing-est line.

it Is Way Harder To Create A Song And Mix Lyrics, Guitars, Bass, And Drums Then To Make A Song That Rhymes With A Repeating Beat.

so what? as i stated before, in the larger role and scheme of entertainement, the difficulty of production like that is not all that relevant.

If anything it is a "smarter" way of making music. less work more fans more money.

go figure most of hip hop stars know the limited bankability of their music and branch out into other endeavors like clothing lines or vodka or energy drinks, acting ect.

              Love:

Rappers that actually talk about true experiences
              The history behind it all
Public enemny, NWA, death row records has awesome history and crazy stories
Dr Dre, Chuck D and all the public enemy people

              HATE:

              Majority of rap
              Almost every rapper

So true, but it's certinally not the hip hop artist themselves doing this. Its other busniess men cashing in on the artist fame.

you know, there are emcees and producers that do that. it's just that too many people are ignorant fools that don't really follow any real hip hop culture so they get ensnared by repeating beats and irrelevant rhymes.

Too much of Rap has become the hair metal of the mid 80's and it's a damn shame

I have alot of respect for the musical talent that most rappers have. That being said, I HATE the generations of fake thugs or OGs (original gangsters) that rap seems to be glorifying. Let me just state that I work in a urban high school, and see these wannabees every single day. All these kids who seem to think that "thug life" is the best way to live. Funny thing is, alot of these kids are WAY too stupid to actually be gangsters, or even successful drug dealers. These kids think that the world is going to be handed to them on a silver platter, with little or no work! Pure stupidity!

ya I effing hate kids like that. Most of them just need to live in a REALLY rough area for a while to how how hard they aren't. It takes more than a gangsign and a handgun to be a "thug".

so true, I have had so many friends that go through utter crap and they hate how those wannabes always glorify it. All my friends cleaned up and love life more now than when they were involved with gang life. Whenever some poser is trying to act hard it really burns them up. It really takes more than a sign, a knife, or a gun to be part of that life. All those kids just don't get that it really kills you when you get involved in that kind of stuff.
