Ok...even if you tried these methods, i am listing them anyways to sort out what I did when a game didnt work
      1)Re-install
      2)Look for the Latest Patch/Update
      3)Call Tech support
      4)Install under a different drive
5)Return the Game and get another copy

Also, Cd cracks are pointless unless you get one that is shown to work, like if its been downloaded a bunch of times etc...They only work if 1)you dont have the CD key, or 2)if you lost your CD completely, but its still installed on the computer...Good luck trying to fix it

Tried everything but installing under a different drive. I'll give that a go.

i had the same problem with a game,,i tryed everything you have tried and it didnt work,,emailed the company and they sayed it was a fulty disk.
contact the makers of the game,,,or take the game back where you got it and do an even exchange for a new disk.
          my feedback

See if this game has a safe mode bro... sometimes CS and DOOM give me hard times...

Right Click>Properties>Target> add a " -safe" to the end.... So it may look like this

            "C:\Program Files\Company\Rise Of Nations\Game\RoN.exe -safe"

            doubt it, but maybe...
