    insurance ?'s

about 5 weeks ago i got a speeding ticket for 65mph in a 55mph, and i didnt tell my parents because im an idiot and just decided not to tell them, and im on theyre insurance(which i pay my part of), well i payed the ticket the last day i possibly could(48$ btw), and i still havent told my parents or the insurance company about the ticket but today an envelope came in the mail and its from allstate and on the front it says "in re allstate fair credit reporting act litigation settlement" and "important court papers enclosed" and if i look through the paper on the back of the envelope i can see that it says "notice of your right in the allstate fair credit reporting act," i cant open the envelope because its for my mom and dad and theyle get suspicious of why i opened theyre mail, but i would like to know if this has anything to do with my ticket and how much do you think my insurance will go up per month for this one ticket(i pay about 80$/month right now? and im 17)

do you think this has anything to do with no one in my family telling our insurance carriers that i got a ticket?

what do you think i should tell my parents anyway?

and yes i understand that im an idiot for not telling my parents but im moving to texas in 2 months and they probably would have taken my car away or something and i wouldnt have been able to enjoy my last 2 months with my friends.

Did you get the option for court supervision? I went under that and now my insurance will never hear of it. Also, yeah, stupid not to tell your parents, I thought of not telling them either. I have heard of ways to open mail like that, boil water on the stove, and the glue should loosen, and you can peel it away slowly, hope it helps some. By the way, 72 in a 55, 75 dollar ticket. and 3 months court supervision.

ummmm, well i got a ticket for 73 in a 55 and the cop lowered it to 70 in a 55 when he REALLY does know i was going 90-95 as far as i know my insurence is still the same... they only know i was going 70 tho

BTW: DUMBASS on my side to make u feel better I WAS BEHIND THE COP... yeah it was 10:00 at night and i couldnt tell it was a cop till he slowed down and i saw his liscnece plate(couldnt see the lights on top.. it was too dark) he was on an emergency call(who knew they didnt always use their lights)

BUT i also did u home the next morning and gave my mom the ticket and she just laughed at me and said she expected that earlier

I would say confess right away, casue if u dont it will jsut get worse and worse for u when they do find out. And for all i know the state reports tickets to insurence agencys. So your insurence should go up, and when that happens and u havent told your parents yet, the punishment will deffintly be worse. So jsut bite teh bullet now and get it over with, casue the punishment u get is only gonna get worse.
