about 5 weeks ago i got a speeding ticket for 65mph in a 55mph, and i didnt tell my parents because im an idiot and just decided not to tell them, and im on theyre insurance(which i pay my part of), well i payed the ticket the last day i possibly could(48$ btw), and i still havent told my parents or the insurance company about the ticket but today an envelope came in the mail and its from allstate and on the front it says "in re allstate fair credit reporting act litigation settlement" and "important court papers enclosed" and if i look through the paper on the back of the envelope i can see that it says "notice of your right in the allstate fair credit reporting act," i cant open the envelope because its for my mom and dad and theyle get suspicious of why i opened theyre mail, but i would like to know if this has anything to do with my ticket and how much do you think my insurance will go up per month for this one ticket(i pay about 80$/month right now? and im 17)
do you think this has anything to do with no one in my family telling our insurance carriers that i got a ticket?
what do you think i should tell my parents anyway?
and yes i understand that im an idiot for not telling my parents but im moving to texas in 2 months and they probably would have taken my car away or something and i wouldnt have been able to enjoy my last 2 months with my friends.
