    Canker sores...uggh

Does anyone else get these little SOBs as bad as I do? I swear as soon as one goes away another one or two pop up a few days later. Right now I have one near my lower lip that I always seem to bite and a big one at the base of my teeth at the side of my lower jaw. I used to get these things just occasionally but it seems within the past 6 months or so I get them almost weekly. Is there any way to prevent these? I'm about ready to throw in the towl and take a visit to the doctor if there's nothing I can do about them.

      Haha, you've got herpes!

Just Kidding. I get canker sores occasionally. Not very often, but I hate them when I do have them.

It could be your toothpaste. Most popular toothpastes have a foaming agent called Sodium Lauryl Sulfate that is an irritant causing canker sores. My gf's little sister uses Rembrandt extra whitening, I believe for her canker sores. Look at the ingredients and stay away from the SLS.

That's a good idea. I've been using Crest forever, that might be it.

I used to have problems with canker sores, mainy from biting my lip, for some reason with me they last a long time, like weeks. But I finally found a product that actually can cure canker sores ... like cuts the healing time down to a few days. If you put it on a new one, it will never bloom into a full-blown one. It's called Ora5 ... it's topical. It stings quite a bit when you put it on, then the thing doesn't hurt for like the rest of the day. Then it heals real quick. www.ora5.com

I bought from here, which has complete kits with pain relieving mouthwashes, special toothpastes, etc. But all I really use is Ora5: http://www.saveyoursmile.com

Not sure how to prevent them but getting rid of them is pretty easy. Take a wet teabag and stuff it in your lip like a chew and keep it there for a half hour or so and the canker will go away pretty quickly.

The few times I got canker sores I took a with of Hydrogen Peroxide, I know its really nasty just spit it out real fast, then grab some water.
