    Others to try:
Pete Rock & CL Smooth (Mecca and the Soul Brother or any album, highly recommended)
    Ice-T (just about any album)
Sir Mix-a-Lot (Swass, Seminar, I guess Mack Daddy)
Kid Sensation (Rollin w Number one)
Paris (the Devil made me do it)
DJ Magic Mike (Bass is the name of the game)
Any KRS-One or Boogie Down Productions
    Digital Underground (Sex Packets)
KMD, Brand Nubian or Poor Righteous Teachers
Any Sublime (not really true rap, but absolutely essential listening)

for a system, Lil' John & The East Side Boyz hit the hardest that i have heard... they are ok to listen to, Beastie Boys and Eminem are also good....

Beastie Boys are the best rap EVER Noone else can rap about Star Trek and still make millions like they do.
