On the topic of satanic music and whatever. Alot of the stuff I've gotten into lately has been fairly well.....anti-christian to put it lightly. However, I appreciate the music for it's talent and sound, not for it's lyrical content (though I love the vocals). Plus, I mean, God has got to have a sense of humor about these things....I mean, who would create something that could come up with a name like Marduk....jeeze.

zakk wylde is beyond amazing... but BLS isnt really metal, its like metalish-rock i think... but it still kicks old-people face.

and if you like superheavy metal, with melody, screaming, and insane amounts of skill... then bodom is your best bet.

Yummy yummy yummy, I've got fun in my tummy.

COB is amazing. The only band that beats them in skill though is either Dream Theater or Les Claypool by himself.

Les is better at playing bass than anyone on earth is at anything else. Monks who devote their entire lives to weaving suck when compared to the skill of Les at bass.

hehe, in one of the recent guitar worlds they have an interview with Alexi Laiho from COB. He says something like "There are lots of guitar players who play super fast and super well - but they're also super lame. Like Dream Theater". I got a kick out of that.

I've never been big on metal, I like atleast kind of hearing what the people are saying. I like bands with dual vocals, screamer+normal singer.

Yeah, I remember that too. Guitar World is what really opened me up to different types of music, espcially metal. Wasn't that in that issue about Zakk Wylde, Alexi Laiho, and Stevie Vai?

In grade 6 I liked Nine Inch Nails..Not metal, but well, star....'s Inc was close I guess. And I continued listening to them into grade 7, and then I was introduced to Slipknot's Iowa CD. I loved slipknot, and NIN and Slipknot continued until grade 9, and then I just found that they didn't have the "new" feel, like I had grown a tolerance for them. So I needed more. And then I thought tomyself that it was like a drug And now, I had put myself through withdrawl, and stopped listening to both of them. And now I listen to rammstein... There music just sounds so individual...

Yup, that's the one. It was a good issue. Any issue with Vai in it rules. I like to read the little columns they have before the songs. I've learned a lot from them. A lot of the guys I listen to I found out about from guitar world.
